If you think about it with out Narcissa, Harry would have been killed for good & have we forgotten the great works of Regulus and our dear Mr. Potter has some Slytherin in him as well. Therefore, Gryffindor can keep having delusions of adequacy.

To say that there are more bad Slytherins than bad Gryffindors is to disregard the point of view the Harry Potter series was told from. The narrator is completely biased. You're never going to get an accurate picture of what the majority of the Slytherin house is like. It's only because of Harry's perception that Slytherins are generalized as the 'evil' house.

That's what I believed was one of the Slytherin traits the Hat believed would make Harry do well in Slytherin. It wasn't about Voldy's soul, it was about Harry's personality. Voldemort's soul didn't have that much influence on Harry; just a couple weird powers. The Sorting Hat can penetrate into the core of who you are, I doubt it's going to be fooled by a tiny shard of non-Harry.

Narcissa is described as beautiful in the books although they're writen from harry's perspective,but yes,she looks like she's smelled smth awful and that doesn't mean shes ugly but an arrogant snob.
