I do not subscribe to the misguided opinion that musical references are equal to stealing. But, this is teutonic laptop pretence at its worse: Jill Sander in audio-form, some nasty Ableton-generated glitches and clicks and a monotonous "vocal"... add a Berlin label, a pack of sleep-inducing words and you have a 'hip Berlin' track. *Yawn* This bunch's even ended up butchering a perfectly good Saint Etienne track... Isn't the "singer" one of the Kitty-Yo office-staff?
THis is just an idea but ratatat's style of the sliding harmony guitar lines would be a cool thing to keep building on this song. The instrumental is really unique i just think they could have kept building on it. Not harshing the song in any way just feel like there was an intrumental build up that should have happened towards the end.
i wonder why people aren´t able to do at least some basic resaerch before posting anything. it would have cost a minute to find out that this track is from 2002 while akira kosemura started to release music in 2007. guess who was first.
btw. music based always on taking bits and pieces from other tracks and artists. not just since thee last 20 years. if you call this steealing you have to ban 85% of all tracks around.
beautiful

this track has been written and composed a long time ago. stupid to compare it with berlin hipness of these days.

The style is obviously copied from Akira Kosemura who invented this musical concept and has been doing it for very many years.
I wonder why people think no one will notice if they steal music styles from other artists and claim it´s their own concept
