The only reason I don't like X-plane is because the lack of high quality add-ons like PMDG, Airsimmer, etc...

Also the extremely high amount of space it takes up around 74GB's it said on the box.

It has a few. XPFW 757 with a plugin made for it is just as good as the PMDG 757 IMO. There is also a XPFW 747 in the early beta stages. It already looks great. The highest by far is the x737, with it's dynamic engine and wingflex. It has "ragdoll" wingflex, meaning there is no limit to how much it bends, and it will shake with the smallest turbulence.

if you ask me: probably not! You need more CPUspeed in games where many physical effects, AI, Avionics etc. have to be calculated.

In FSX you got ONE plane that needs to be calculated which hasn't much complex avionix.

So if you want to improve your FPS go and buy some RAM and a new GFXCard.

Well, graphics cards dont really improve anything at all, the CPU and Disk Space does. Graphics cards improve FPS by a bit. but if you have a Quad Core with a 8800 GT, and like a 1000gb drive it could do ultra high with over 40 FPS easy

the flight simulator engine still has that juddering effect. ITs a fault in the software engine as games like need for speed have no juddering at all. If flight sim could have animation like need for speed that would be wicked. BUt flight sim is an excellent training & learning tool though.
