They deployed 5,000 cops, K9 unit, a squad on horses. Yet the chief of police failed to secure his own people, gay ppl as well as the city. The problem is not with Government intentions as they're good. However, being a fairly new movement in Serbia, Government is inexperienced and couldn't properly predict the amount of haters and criminals who would attend the counter-rally. The pressure must be made on Serbian Gov. to educate citizens through media and publications about gay rights that are guaranteed by Serbian Constitution. Otherwise, the Gov. will be bullied by primitive homophobes all over again.

Because this is fairly new movement in Serbia and people are in fear of unknown, they over react by thinking that they'd get AIDS if even being in proximity of a gay person. Reality is, there is much more uneducated and primitive population here than we'd like to think. Once "straight" people realize they're not affected by gay, they'll accept them as any other human being.

Cilj operacije bio je da zastitis ljude u povorci i nikom od njih, bar tokom trajanja prajda, dlaka s glave nije zafalila.
