There's still a 1000 year old Viking style parliament & customs on the Isle of Man to this day! It was shown on The Blood of the Vikings 25 part documentary by the BBC. Anyway, time's moved on into the modern world for humans & all other living matter....

The Saxons came to England in 365 AD due to the pressures caused by moving tribes looking for new lands who were conquered by Attila the hun who at this stage was sacking cities in northern Europe. So they really were not the original people of England.
"Let's call him 'Canute' because... that's his name." - I lolled. I think they only repeated the phrase to counter any suggestion that they were even vaguely referring to a very rude word. The timing seemed different first time it was said.
Movies like this are an element of anti-patriotic, liberal education. I'm Polish and I'm claim history of England is very interesting and proud! Soon, you will know that Saxons, Normans and Celts never exist and Britain belonged to nigas, kikas and mouscums... :)
Author should make a video about African history. For instance, Ruanda! ''Tutsi rule OK'' then ''Hutu rule OK''. Yes, it's so easy to spit on our european history in present times. ''Leftist scum rule OK'' but soon... :)
And then had sex with fine French ladies and kept intermixing with them until all they did was ride on horses kill people, drinking wine, kiss backsides and write French poetry.
@TPKKPT In fact, the name of Normandy is derived from "Northmanorum o Nortmann" ("Northmen") the settlement of the territory by Vikings ("Northmen") from the 9th century.
@TPKKPT the danish vikings raided france so the frence jarl/king gave the danish jarl the normandy. later the normans started a invasion on england that was in 700 to 1100 in 1450 the "vikings" setteled in south italy.
Actually Harold wasnt shot in the eye... He was hacked down by a sword. They only say he was shot in the eye because the first soldier seen when ''Harold is killed'' is written is one with an arrow in his eye... The one next to him is Harold, with a sword in his torso.
@Steve210198 ...Actually, actually, there are three men in the Bayeux Tapestry who have the words "Harold, rex, interfectus est" (Harold, the King, is killed) written above them, and no historian is completely sure which one he might be. There's one sort of slumped over on horseback, one with an arrow in his eye and one falling under the horse. Most people think that Harold is the one with the arrow because the name is directly above his head, but no one knows for sure. (Thank you QI for that!)
@fidget177 It is also possible that more than one represent Harold. Also the arrow in the eye story is unlikely to be true (although I wish it was) due to an examination of the Bayaux Tapestry itself which shows that the tapestry was unpicked and rembroidered where the arrow now is. No one does know for sure though (thank you degree)
@Steve210198 No one knows actually and I say that as a historian. It could be any or all of the two men being killed beneath the Latin. However it is unlikely he was shot in the eye (or if he was it was not portrayed on the Bayaux Tapestry). The man who below the words "Harold Rex Interfectus Est" (or the word "Harold" if you want to be pedantic) who is pulling an arrow out of his eye has had the stitching redone since the original. It probably was not an arrow initially but a spear.
Engayland has been a breeding ground for disease, homosexuality and plunder for thousands of years.
