toda mi vida he eschudo a the doors lastimas ke no lo alkance a ver en vida pero aun despues de muerto , la polemika sigue kon este maldito poeta del rock and roll dios salve a jim
i couldnt say something as definitive as "the best live performnce", but Yes!, by the time he completes horse latitudes and kicks back into the song, you realize there is pure passion and motivation to each note and word and it was a special live moment. (must be played very loud) "Eeeeeasy to Love you as i watch you....glide..."
arthur lee and love blow doors away!!!! arthur got jimbo signed to elektra!!! check ur history before bad comments!!! especially yanks!!! who love everything but their fucking own!!!
@10Bones01 -agree with being born earlier ayy id of loved to have been growing up when music like in the 60s expecially just to see the the doors live.music was changing and wounderful thing were happening as far as music goes. im 17 so 1993 is around 20 years diifference! so with music of my time conpered to now its totally differnce but i love the doors and its becuse of my dad :D this song is my fave!
I recently saw an interview in Italy ( that's where I'm from) of Robert Plant...he explained perfectly what the problem is...he said " when I was young artists where sorrounded by some kind of mistery " " nowadays there is no more that mistery..it's gone lost" and i totoaly agree...nowadays music looks exactly for the opposite...the want to be recocnized easily so that it's easier to sell...they have no interest in making things complex...in making people think !!!
@Zirboman Agreed. Most music is "surface level", and doesn't attempt to go deeper. To me, going deep is what it is all about. Music without depth is like a forest without the trees.
I think this is live at the hollywood bowl .theres a version where he sings about havin fishes for your friends and pearls for your eyes , thats my fave , is that one matrix? think so

The only reason I would ever have wanted to be born a decade or two earlier (than 1978) would have been to experience The Doors in their prime.
If I were stranded on an island, and could pick one band whose CDs I could take along with me, I would take The Doors.
