@natecutlan Though you don't have a Ph.D. in political science, I would still be interested in hearing your thoughts on the topic. In any case, I don't purport to be an expert in nutrition or food science. I just read the journals. Do talk to a real-life doctor with a background in hemochromatosis.
The phytic acid neg effects myth is false and was a lie promoted by the Rice milling industry so that people would eat more white rice and so that the Rice milling industry can increase their profits 4 fold from the many by products that are made from removing the outer most nutritious layer of the brown rice.
@JoggynSmyler Is this really true? I've been hearing about soaking grains for the past several weeks and was interested in learning more about it. I do have to say that most people refer to Sally Fallon's advice, but I don't find her to be a good source of information. I don't know too much about Sally, but I do know that I don't agree with everything that she says and would like to hear info from someone other than real food bloggers who follow her and the Weston Price foundation.
Never embrace phytic acid.....one needs to adress why they are "deficient" in the first place.....eating meat on a regular basis saps calcium from your body. Eating grains is one of the reason one becomes unable to use nutrients. Ripe Raw Fruits and Vegetables have all the nutrients anyone needs in just the right amounts....no need to wonder how much of this and that your getting, that only goes along with fragmented thinking. Thanks for trying to help though.

I'm sorry but if you're going to talk about health, you better have your own weight in check.
