  • I would urge anyone with a love of music to check out Simple Minds' album "New Gold Dream" from which this song comes. Forget the sometimes bombastic nature of some of their later work: NGD is a masterpiece. It is in some ways comprable to Astral Weeks- shot through as it is with wonder and light. Similar also in that it has a "sound" and feel running through all the tracks that make it more "of a piece" than any concept album (cf also Blonde on Blonde). It's magical.

  • @evelyneverettgreen : Agree.

  • @theboyisdead : Interesting comment. Thank you very much !

  • Simply Amazing...these guys were just masters. This is Music as a form of art...as it should be.

  • Must be one of the most haunting pieces of music written?

Mystical and tugs at your emotions.

Hard to believe it was written by guys so young?

Still baffled by Simple Minds music, trippy, just never ceases to make me feel, sometimes joy when i listen.
