  • i love this! nice job man, thats epic, i plan on makingone of my own, wit water tanks, gasoline tanks, generators, all tat stuff :) im an engineer and architect at heart, but i want to be a mechanic :)

  • Great hobby! Also, put in some air pipes before it gets too advanced, and don't get too advanced with the foundation of your house! Over years it might start leaning!

  • @MrZombieVirus1 - Looks like you've got a pretty serious troll infestation!

    Very nice build!

  • Besides this is only an entrance into the first room. The hatch into the living space will have a door that will need a decent set of torches or a explosive device of some kind. If someone is carrying around a set of torches after the SHTF well then so be it. If someone is carrying around an explosive device well then they would destroy everything I have anyway. So what's your point??? Is your bunker better than mine or do you just go around criticizing everything everybody does?

  • progress is slow? put some new vids up

  • i could open your doors with powerful magnets! EASY! newb build.....

  • @milldabeast519 (by sliding pins)

  • @milldabeast519 there's a barrier between the pins to prevent it from sliding back. This guy knows how to build a secure door.

  • @Jadandlud yes and many ppl know how to open secure doors!

  • @milldabeast519 And seeing your earlier comment, you're not one of them.

  • @Jadandlud magnet and couple hours bud

  • @milldabeast519 Nope, there is 8 pins holding the doors closed. There is no way a magnet could open this hatch.

  • @milldabeast519 I would bet $1000.00 you couldn't get into my bunker with a magnet.

  • @MrZombieVirus1 lol judging by your comments have serious thought about my magnet technic! lol if you where an hour away i would come down to attempt it...

  • @Jadandlud ill be eatn your rations

  • @milldabeast519 If you got a plane ticket then you're welcome to try. But in the hours it takes to find and move the pins, the cops will be on your ass. And where I live, criminals die.

  • @Jadandlud well cops wont be there to wisk you away and save your ass when SHTF son. what u gona do then? send rover after me while your turtled down in ur dirt pit?lol i thought thats what u built this thing for ? dont rely on pigs to save you when u have a fuckn bomb shelter.... sounds like a waste of time if thats your plan.might as well just put bars on your windows...

  • @Jadandlud criminals thrive where im at.even the hardcore criminals that can slide pins with a magnet...

  • @milldabeast519 You are obviously blind. The pins have a handle that hangs down and has to be turned the right way and then slid across. No magnets getting in here.

  • @MrZombieVirus1 magnets work from outside the door, thats the hole point is to open it from the outside...

  • @milldabeast519 Ya after you climb down into the hole and I squirt lighter fluid through a peep hole and light you on fire.

  • @MrZombieVirus1 pfffff thats your defense?lol what are u 8 years old?

  • @milldabeast519 The pins will not slid. They have to be rotated and then slid. You are wrong.

  • @milldabeast519 You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. How much weight can you lift??? You would have to be able to lift 800 or 900lbs. to even start flexing these doors.

  • @MrZombieVirus1 im not talking about the pins in the hinges? 800 pounds? 2 men could do it no prob. gimi a bar for leverage and we talking thousands of pounds

  • Put "gas main" or "water main" in stickers on the doors. Hide what you have in plain sight.

  • I would be very worried about the concrete in your basement floor as your ceiling in your bunker. Concrete and spancrete are two very different products. I understand what your trying to do but Id be a little worried about what this is going to do to the foundation of your home in years to come.

  • are you concerned about undermining the foundations of your house? In a serious storm/earthquake, this might significantly weaken the ground around your house, and serve instead as a grave...

  • @octapotamus There is no dirt on the other side of the wall you can see. If anything I have reduced the pressure forcing IN on the basement wall.

  • @wagatillidie thanks :)

  • @wagatillidie same, but I'm only 14. Still, gotta start somewhere

  • wish I could do this good, I'm just planning on making a little hobbit hole for surviving my zombie outbreak

  • Way cool project man! I am hoping to do the same thing when I finally buy a house next year. I'm a big guy too (6'5" 260-tiny wife5"2" 110). Will keep watching and thanks for sharing.

  • that was really cool i wish i could make one like i dont gots a concreet basement its all durt so i really cant

  • This is a damn interesting project! The door pins and bolts seem like a great and simple execution. Is this concept for a long term living or short term storm shelter? I am going to sub now. thanks for posting

  • @truckpipe It will be an emergency shelter but, if need be it will be able to be used for long terms. There will be plenty of food and water. Portable toilet with bags for disposing. Good air circulation.

  • @truckpipe Basically, for short term emergency. But, if push comes to shove if I keep my ass in gear and make it as big as I want, it could be for longer periods of time.

  • update !

  • excellent work but i hope you aint parking your car in the garage now. and make sure the garage foundations are supported. but otherwise great. keep it up. caspardotclubspacesdotcom

  • Nice, dude! You might want to be sure to consider shoring up your ceiling with some posts or other supports. I'm building my own underground shelter. It's REALLY slow going. Mostly it's a money and time issue. Also, I'm having to farm out the work to skilled laborers, such as welders.

  • @hrdknox2000 I am going to have an antechamber right in the main entryway which will support the garage floor.

  • @MrZombieVirus1 Very cool! Can't wait to see the progress up to the finished product! I'm a little too private with my life to share my preps with the World Wide Web. However, I'd probably share them wiht YOU privately at some point.

  • @brendajayful Cool.

  • LOL

  • Does anyone know why my video part 1 won't play on mobile devices? It says the author (me) set it up that way. How do I fix that?

  • The pails weigh about 85 lbs. And I had to lift them well over my head to get them out of the bunker and I injured my elbows by over extending them. I am doing a dig shortly.

  • Sorry for the delay in new videos. I got hurt during the last dig. I have just installed a new hoist to lift the pails out of the bunker. I will make a short video showing how that will work. Also, my new cement mixer I will be using to pour my new antechamber floor.

  • @MrZombieVirus1 sorry to hear about the injury. Get better and post more!

  • Presently, I have a fan blowing down into the hole when I dig.

  • Good job, What are you doing to ensure you get fresh air out there when you are digging? CO2 is heavier than O2.

  • Great job..... I'm intrigued. There's not enough of this here in the UK but I'll be seeing if it's possible for me to build one of my own. Can't wait for more videos!!!

  • I had been thinking about doing similar for the last few days. Awesome job so far, can't wait to see more progress. I'd love to see details on how you handle the framing when you go to pour the walls.

I'm curious how much time has this taken so far and how "stealthy" is the work? I have neighbours 25' away so I'm a little concerned the digging is going to be obvious.

  • Hey guys, I removed 3 more yards of dirt about 6 weeks ago. During that dig I over extended my elbow over 100 times not realizing hurting it. The bunker is over 7 feet deep, it is now to high to manually lift the pails out. I am installing a hoist with a remote to lift the pails out. I will post a video in the next few days showing that. Also, one more dig (about three yards) and I will be framing and pouring the antechambers concrete floor.

  • can u post more vids on how u are coming along

  • what is the purpose of this bunker?

  • cant wait to see more how do you shore up the ceiling and walls from cave in?

  • Hey guys, I plan on having the entry chamber about 5' x 6'. Basically a concrete or concrete block box. Then an area about 5' x 18' for the main chamber. There will be two exits, the hatch which you see and then a secret hatch that will allow an entry point into the basement which will be hidden behind a book case. The main area will have 1/2 inch thick steel plates as doors with 1/2 inch thick hinge plates and 1 inch diameter pins.

  • when you're done with your bunker, put supplies in it, like a supply of food, and maybe a gun with amunition, and somthing thats fun so you can't get crazy from bordem

  • How wide do you plan on digging your bunker?

I kept mine to 8' wide I have filled 3 Tri axle dump truck loads so far dug 9' deep and 17' long so will have 8' ceilings after concrete is poured and ceiling reinforced

  • @tennesseecoin could u post some pics of your? i am wanting to build one myself

  • cool!

  • "It puts the lotion on its skin!" haha
