@GuitarSlinger2112 - that's bad engineering, not playing. When you close mic, as her engineer has, if the mic or room has a spike at a frequency, it's supposed to be gotten rid of during Mastering. This, despite that one frequency, is an excellent recording. The tonal balance is superb, it's MUSICAL, and that's all that counts. Want a more 'open' sound, get two 'matched' mics and place them further back, you'll get a wider more stereo sound. But, you lose intimacy.
Playing speeding and slowing down is called RUBBATO and is very popular and very useful to give more expression to music... It´s a very used element since ROMANTIC period... you know, CHOPIN, LIZST and others

Maybe, she wants the listener to be able to hear her performance in detail - and using a mic often achieves that goal. She can project just fine and you can tell just by listening- I really can't fathom how damaged your ears must be to say that "her sound is not projected enough". Plus, you must certainly not know a lot about microphone technology either; they certainly don't cheat the listener into thinking you perform any better.

@senamuc I thought the same thing at first. It's possible that she hesitated that note for expression, she played the right note, she just drug the negative space out a bit longer than is natural. I'm still thinking that she hesitated on purpose because she did the same thing at 0:27 and as a world class guitarist who has played this piece several times before live, I can't imagine she'd screw up the same thing twice in a row.
@senamuc Not a mistake, it's an effect called a re'tard, which means slow. You'll notice she does it a number of times through the piece, some more drawn out than others.

How come people like @DeOndertoon and @sixuemilian can say that she is playing the music without her feeling/emotion?! Wow!!! I think both of you better to learn about the music lessons, guys! It's not as easy as you both can say about playing the guitar and especially this composition. I learn classical guitar for about 15 years. And I know many things about playing guitar. :)
