Nice job as always NSU. As for the SU cynics, The Human Jukebox dosen't have anything to stress over, last I checked they still owned one of the most storied and versatile songbooks in the nation (plus Knighten and Haymer's magical arrangement abilities) and are still recruiting some of the country's best musicians.

Norfolk's current program is a tribute to the legacy of Dr. Isaac Greggs (SU) , as Dr. Sanford (NSU) is a graduate of Southern University. Again nice job Spartans.

The Legion's traditions stem from Emory Fears. The foundation was set 40 years before Sanford was on the scene. Again my point was for the cynics . I mentioned the current NSU director(s) because they're mostly SU grads. Visit USC, UM or OSU sites ...etc, and all of those directors list and honor their teachers, so when I said "tribute" it was in that context. Keep it simple sir.

those gaps are there for a reason...idk if you ever heard this played in person but i can tell you wen the hole band takes that quarter rest and blows the quarter notes after...you feel that note in your soul...its called a clean impact, then they hit you with moving lines after...not jus a whole bunch of jumbled up noise the whole time...this arrg. has more swag than any other arrangment ive heard...and its very powerful...

I'ma comment on the trumpet part for NSU because I use to marched for them(NSU not trumpet), and honestly the trumpets do need to put our more, they are a young section and nothing like the trumpets use to be when I marched in 00-01 and even after I stopped marching. But on another note, Norfolk don't even have that Trumpet part that SU have in the begining anyway, so thats maybe another reason they not heard for real on this song, it wasnt made for them.

Most of the swac bands have low brass and horns sections that are way to loud for their trumpets. Nsu is working that same formula this year. They have a munch of rookie trumpets though so I can understand it.
