The a2a simulations p47 accu sim addon in combo with scenery and real environment xtreme 2.0 makes fsx 100x times better than xplane in many ways imo :) I prefer fsx :)
Alright! After having heard so many discussions about wether fsx or x-plane is better, I decided to get the demo of x-plane and compare it with my fsx. My result:
X-Plane still has a LOOOOOOONG way to go, until it will get even close to fsx. The only upside about x-plane is the realistic looking water, which for some funny reason seems to be in ever x-plane vid u can find...
Anyway, the mfs series has been around for 25 years and has stayed unbeaten all these years in it's overall quality.
(comment2 lol) Also, fsx has a much larger comunity and there are way more add-ons available for it. Just take the Real Environment Extreem for example. Once u have that on ure fsx, it will look ten times as good!
As I said before, the mfs series has just been around so much longer, that it just takes time until a different sim can take it's place, or even just get close to it.
to bad it wont be around any more years, thats kinda why Im thinking of switching to x-plane, sooner or later fsx will become outdated and it will be replaced with a different simulator and x-plane seems like a reasonable alternative, it seems to have much potential
I seriously doubt that fsx will get out dated any time soon! Just look at how old fs9 is and even it is still not out dated. I think fsx has at least 7-8 more years to go. And what's more, the number of add-ons for fsx is constantly growing, so if u r someone like me, who tweaks and customizes his fsx and keeps doing so, makes the sim even better.
X-Plane lacks the comunity and people who make add-ons. I just think it will still take a long time, before x-plane is good enough to replace fsx...
thats true, but i meant that the msfs series are discontinued so sooner or later (most likely later) we will be forced to transition to a newer game and i dont think that will take much time if you look at the huge increase in pc technology such as the core i7s, running 2 video cards, etc. And it is true, X-plane does lack the community
IMO you shouldn't waste even a minute with it. Stick with FSX till aerosoft releases their new flight sim. X-plane is very limited compared with fsx, and you won't find add ons with the quality of aerosoft, flight1, PMDG, etc. Good looking water and FAA certificate isn't enough for me to just quit fsx and all its addons that I bought.
how do you get the mig-31 on x-plane 9 is it the demo or the real x-plane 9. my x-plane 9 game run way lights are boxs and not lights so it's hard to see the runway un till you hit the run way if any one knows how to fix that send me something thanks

xplane have better flight dynamics then fsx, i use them both,i fly realtime also. xplane behaves accurate on high AOA s, fsx is a good for eye candy
