As a refugee, I walked around Nrbi an robbed three times in a week by shameless Kenyans + police.I was traumatised by this and everyone looked like a thief to me. At one time I tried to file a complaint against thieves at police stn and to my surprise the officer asked a bribe before he took down my statement. Kenya=one of the most corrupted county in Africa. Kenya's tourism is at the Game parks which are 400 miles from Nairobi and so the tourists have nothing to fear. Plus the tourist will live in the best guarded hotels in Nairobi and therefore will never be stolen from. You have to note that the refugees live in the broke zones of Nairobi ... actually, most of the locals are trying to rise up against these pirates. I read an article today where there was a fight between some village locals and these pirates where two of the locals were killed and something like 4 pirates were killed. They're trying to do something, i wouldn't kill them. I would just allow whatever force necessary to take these pirates down.
