  • where did you get the metorite

  • Very Very impressive craftsmanship

  • Man Dave's work is quite impressive.

  • that boar's head blade is siiiiiiicccckkk!!!!

  • OH Yes! Great blades man!

Viking named Silent RafterrS from Norway!

  • For 6000 dollars I want kryptonite in the steel so I can fight Superman

  • @mafiajimmy Call it the kryptonife.

  • do you ship knifes to canada, i want to order something in like a few months or so

  • that Wild boar head is just excellent.

  • I wonder what you guys do in the throwing knives area...

  • Holy #%^* 6-8 k that's a great knife but..... I think I'd rather but a down payment on a car, great knife though!

  • I'm not sure about a blade...but what about a Lancer from Gears of War?! xD

  • And John does answer the phone !

  • Where do you get the comic?

  • @MobFrenziedHomicide you can find it in heavy metal mag

  • @FitzenKnives Sweet, Im going to check it out! Thanks for the reply!

  • @FitzenKnives what issue

  • @FitzenKnives do you do custom knives? as in i send you a photo of my design and you give an estimate and then we make that bad boy!!!

  • That's nice man, aithough I would have clad the cable with metorite for edge retention instead of the opposite. I dunno what you are using for etchant, but I've had best results with cable using 1 part ferric chloride-2parts water-1part white vinegar-1 part hydrochloric acid... If you are getting mixed results on etching strictly the same type of cable then you are getting different results in your heat treat....

  • Make a steel version of the Halo energy sword. That would be epic looking, but also really unwieldy because of the dual blades.

  • @kpw528 that much steal! that'd be so awesome

  • really kryptonite..haha Go Fitzen!!! :)

  • That handle looks quite slippery.

  • Damascus with meteorite...bad ass.

  • @whitey211 damascus is meteorite and metal together.

  • @ohnevergoingtoquit no its not its layered metal

  • @ohnevergoingtoquit correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought Damascus was any two steels that were forged together. I just thought it was pretty bad ass that they used meteorite as one of the two metals.

  • @whitey211 nope damascus is when they take meteorite and combine it with the steel which is what gives it that signature look

  • @ohnevergoingtoquit

    That's wrong.

Modern damascus is a mix between two steels.

It doesn't have to be meteorite.

  • @whitey211 you are right the meteorite just jacks the price up alot "its so rare"

  • @ohnevergoingtoquit yeah, not so much. demascus steel doesn't even have to be made of different metals.

  • That is Spectacular. Dig the way it was left with the Hammer Forged look.

  • awesome looking blades. Keep it up.

  • Sweet work guys!

  • You must make a master sword from the Legend of Zelda! Seriously, you'd be the BEST EVAR!

  • john look up leon kennedy resident evil 4 and find his knife you should make it it is an awesome blade

  • @andrewubaldi It's already exists -Mercworx sniper, or some other model they make... don't remember exactly. The guy that designed it for Mercworx also has his own company now -greyman knives; so you got two options if you want one.

  • I use A2 steel in my custom knives, it is great steel and worth every penny spent on it

  • Isn't metiorite anything that comes from space and no specific guidline on what the chemical composition on what it can be?

Can you do that with other materials, throwing a core of another material like titanium (which does not weld to steel) or just another lower, tougher carbon steel (like katanas)? I would think the outer steel would warp with the 2 different materials acting differently to all the extreme heating and cooling. I am brainstorming here, I do not know any of this for a fact.

  • @mojothemigo Well, considering meteorites fall through the earth's atmoshpere burning at several thousand degrees; the only thing left after impact is only the hardest and densest material. While composition may not be precise there is a limit to what could survive.

there are several tricks to bonding metals, most common being flux. I could foresee several problems with trying bond to titanium, but never really heard of it being done either.

  • Getting the hell out of Kommiefornia which opens me to a lot more stuff to buy and seeing how you are coming back in the spot light that even excites me more. Looking forward to doing some business with ya and spreading the word. Keep up the good work.

  • first i was like "sigh not more comicon shit" then i read the rest of the title

  • 240p...we meet again...

  • meteorite center, that's boss

  • @koopaatroopa

Probably because John, Charlie, and Dave are all bosses
