Do you all realize that the movie and the books are FICTIONALIZED in parts. Graysmith wanted to make money...get it? Are you actually going to believe someone who works as a cartoonist (not a cop) who becomes so obsessed with a story that he loses his family? All FACTUAL research (i.e. handwriting analysis, DNA cross matching) eliminate ALA as a suspect. Believe this drivel if you must, but guess what...IT'S NOT TRUE! Research it-eliminate Graysmith's material- find the REAL truth.
It doesn't really fit, does it? And I haven't used the word douche since about 7th grade. Yeah...trying to show off by using "big boy words" out of context and following it up with slang...7th grade.
the 5 pictures nominated were Juno, There will be blood, Atonement, no country for old men, Michael Clayton. I think Zodiac was better then most of them. there will be blood was better. Zodiac was very underrated.
a truly wonderful film.this mtv treatment is highly irritating, but im glad someone made a multi sided docu on the film.now just to save up for the apple software...
so how come they didnt think it was the guy who was writing the posters for the theatre that had the closest handwriting to the letters? how come they still suspected Arthur Leigh Allen. That was the only part of the movie i didnt get, and what was with, "Are you sure there isn't someone else in the house?" sorry if theres an obvious answer, but i just didnt get that one part
@skate349 ya that part of the movie sorta made my stomach drop i got a fright i was like oh no somethings gonna happen but ya i did sorta confuse me aswell....i got the whole basement thing with the bomb but that i dont know why that guy wasnt under suspicion...maybe they couldnt get a warrent or the evidence wasnt as close
but wasnt there something about the letter "K" that didnt match....i dont know but it was a brilliant movie!! :)
@skate349 am sure you've got it by now, but like MANY "characters" in ZODIAC he (the guy who drew the posters), was JUST a red-herring to throw you off. It's A A LEE, all the fucking way (check the final scene -and the two GREAT source books by Robert Graysmith, played by J G-) dude...
I was being sarcastic. I thought Juno was a good little film but shouldn't have been nominated for best picture. Especially over Zodiac, a movie that i thought was the 2nd or 3rd best movie of the year. Eastern Promises was better than Juno!
Zodiac is everything that movies should be. Seriously. I would say that this is a perfect film. It will STILL be talked about in 20 years. I can't believe it was shut out of all of the awards. Idiots.
it was way better than juno, atonement and many other movies that actually received oscars. also alot better than american gangster, which it can directly be compared with since it's a similar genre.

3. INGLORIOUS BASTERDS

its funny how when it did come out people were say this going to win oscars and then for it to not get a single nomination is jsut wrong.
MikeMJPMUNCH 3 years ago 2
What are you talking about? Juno was probably the 12th best movie this year! That alone makes it worthy of a nomination haha
bigpunholla 3 years ago
sorry what do you mean? i meant that i thought zodiac was a great film and that it deserved to win or at least be nominated for an oscar.

maybe the zodiac threatened to kill the nominies because he hated the movie.
