Monday Movie #15: Clay Rendering, AO Rendering, and the AO Pass

I am following this tut , and after removing the light the scene becomes dark, how come that the scene without light is bright in this example ?

use multiply and not overly for OC passes in Photoshop (you only want the darken effect, not brighten the white areas) ;)

i really appreciate ur effort... very detailed and nicely explained tutorial... i used mental ray daylight , sunlight for my archi scene... with almost the default setting.. do i still need the ambient occlusion pass to make my images richer ?
