I flew Biman from LHR to Dhaka over 25yrs ago. Most planes then had no entertainment, now every one especially Americans have to be pampered. To expect this from one of the poorest countries is heartless but then American youth is heartless. I try to avoid Americans, especially younger ones, on all my trips. I still remember what fools they made of themselves as they would arrive in London in the 80s and probably still do.
Why in the Hell would you fly in biman. And no i am not racist cause i am an bangladeshi myslf. The whole biman is corrupted just like the damn country. YOu guys are lucky that u made it cause this old piece of shit didnt crash in the air.

I've probably been to more countries and speak more languages than you ever have. None of this changes the fact that whether you're in the USA, Europe, or southeast Asia, Biman airlines is ghetto and a pain in the ass to travel with.

The're also Chinees, Indians (In fact also the Amarican native, they used to have a history until the New-World-Explorers took it away from them..). They all have a history, whats related to culture. So, the Americans have a history around 200 years. So what?

the prices of BIMAN r as competitive as modern airlines. BIMAN is not necessarily cheap.. though they r the only airline now that still flys DC 10 so if u miss wide bodied aircraft.. its this one..
Well what do you expect. Not every country is wealthy like yours to maintain competitive airlines. It would be silly for you to expect "world class service" if you had knowledge of countries like Bangladesh. You get what you pay for thats how capitalism works.
I agree with you, all these prudes "oh it hasnt been updated" it's like everything has to be the predictable generic same. It was a nice flight back in another era when I flew Biman, and the meals were good, who cares if the aircraft is older, it was great instead of another boring modern job with a plain jane paint scheme. DC-10s are a great looking machine. I was so pleased to make my way to UK on one.
