  • @ 1:22 Is that a Roy Mustang Action Figure :O!!!!!???

  • which scad program is this?

  • tuition is around 50,000 $

  • What is the difference bw a degree in arts ad a degree in fine arts?

  • How much is tuition?

  • i an a senior and i dont know what you are going there for but do you need to declare a major like imediatly cause i saw for acting you need to audition when you declare a major

  • My mum and I were watching this..and she spotted Roy Mustang.

I heard Anime/Manga fans are easy to find?

Not that it's what determines my opinion of SCAD but it'd be nice to know ppl! *never really had any friends into it* And I'm in Asia. haha.

Thanks for the video! your rooms look lovely!

  • I have a question. How do I put my bed up?

  • So for like two years now I've been dieing to go to SCAD, but it didn't occur to me to do some research and learn what people think about the place until here recently. I've heard ALOT of negative things from it being a money eater, to lots of snotty kids, to bad professors. But i've also heard quite the opposite on it all... I was wandering if you could give me your opinion?

  • @VHmusiccomposers It honestly depends on your outlook on it and general skill. It is very very expensive but the way they get away with it is by thoroughly training, preparing and guaranteeing that you will be able to get a successful job within the industry you're interested in, and thus being able to pay for it after you've graduated. As far as snotty kids goes, there can be a few, but if you look in the right places there aren't. (to be continued on the next comment)

  • @VHmusiccomposers A note on the professors, there are quite a few frustrating/difficult professors but I wouldn't say there are outright BAD professors. A great thing about college is that you can look up professors, get opinons from fellow students and CHOOSE the one you want to take, which generally creates a more desirable situation education wise. :) Either way, I'm sure you would get the knowledge necessary in every class.

  • @gingyyycakes Thankyou for your speedy reply :) As well as the info. I wanted to hear someone from the school explain to me their opinion ^^ thankyou

  • a couple questions: 1. where did you get the room divider from? 2. did you have to buy the curtain rods or were they already there?

  • Hm, which campus are you on? The one in Savannah? Sorry if this has been answered already dakjdbask.

  • @Ggirl18824 Yep Savannah :3

  • @gingyyycakes

ONly bad thing is my financial aid is being dumb D:< My parental plus loan hasnt gone through and it has to be sorted before Aug 15th D: gahhhh! STRESSSSS

  • Ok, I need to ask a few questions!

1.) Do you need twin sheets or XL twin sheets for the bed?

2.) How many storage units do you prefer?

3.) Is there enough room to put a butterfly chair in the dorm room? (I have a cute zebra I REFUSE to let go of lol)

  • @Bluehime

    1. Yes

    2. I don't understand this question

    3. Yes, there is definitely room, but be considerate of your roommates. My roommates both had one and it got int he freaking way all the time and I hated them for it.

  • @gingyyycakes

Oh ok thanks! What I meant by storage units were the containers that you put some of your stuff in!

  • @Bluehime

Oh sorry i didn't answer the first one correctly, you need XL twin sheets.

And I'd say about one or two plastic storage thingys. It's nice to be able to store art history books, art work and art supplies in them, along with any clothes that might not fit in the drawers/closet. :D

  • D: I love you so much right now! Lol I've been trying to figure out what the rooms would look like with stuff in it. I am actually going into the turner house this fall DX> gah I'm so nervous

  • @hinatalovesu I know what you mean! I was frustrated with the lack of videos/pictures of the dorms with stuff in them so I took this back when I was freshmen last year! And don't worry, there are so many cool people at scad you will soon be put to ease. :)

  • So...3people can live in a dorm (depending on the size I guess) I'm going to be a junior in high school this year and I want to go there for college, same for 2of my friends. Can you request to stay with them..?

  • @xPopxTartsx Hahaha yeah I already answered the question down there->> BUT yeah totally! People request roommates all the time.

  • Nice tour. Are there many people that used to be in the military there? I am getting out of the Marines soon and SCAD is my first choice.

  • @jacksondoughty

Yes! I do not know anyone personally but I have friends who have talked about ex-military guys (and gals) in their classes. :)

  • @jacksondoughty I am headed down in the fall to SCAD and I already have a friend down there who started in the spring and was in the navy!

  • Personally I've been looking at a selection of good art schools to attend and happen to remember S.C.A.D. from a online search. In my view it looks like a great and unique school with a inspiring atmosphere!

  • @SamuraiCX It completely is, I love the atmosphere! It helps me to b inspired every day.

  • That's probably the biggest living space I have seen for a dorm! Very accommodating! ;)

  • im going to SCAD this fall.. Im wondering do you like the Turner House dorms? Have you been in Dyson and Annex .. If so which do you like more ?

  • @3qu3estr1an Turner house is generally regarded as the "nicer" dorms, but all the cool people live in Dyson. Dyson has small and big rooms, and it's generally a gamble as to which you get. Dyson is more conveniently located near the computer lab, several public bathroom areas, SCAD Cafe and the package center. Also, you don't have to climb many stairs.

Turner is newer, was built for SCAD, is near the sub shop and pizza place. It is also closer to the bus stops.

  • I have that same lamp

  • @TheAustinbigg Why thank you. :D It's much more annoying in real life.

  • i'm planning on going to scad in two years (i'm a junior in high school now). i also have a friend who plans on going there. is it possible to request a roomate? because i'm pretty nervous about living so far away from home (i currently live in AZ), and it would be nice to have at least one person around i know.

  • @MentalFriction Yeah totally! People request roommates all the time.

  • @gingyyycakes awesome. thanks for replying! <3

  • I'm going to be a sophmore in high school next year and I'm taking a trip the following summer. What are some tips for majoring in fashion design?

  • I'm going to SCAD for Fall 2011 and I was wondering what you're majoring in. Care to tell me?

  • @KelBroFTW I am majoring in advertising, but I am friends with a whole bunch of other majors if you have a question :3

  • Lol. Triple occupancy SUCKS!

  • @opheliamoonstone Iunno, I think it's helpful as far as if you have two roommates you have a greater chance of getting along with one of them. Also, I think it's less awkward and/or intimate than just having one. Plus the dorm is bigger :3

  • @opheliamoonstone It's difficult synchronizing sleeping schedules. But I guess I just had crappy roommates that liked staying up til 4 am watching cartoons, and didn't really care that I had to get up for my 8am.

I had an okay experience living at ohouse with a friend of mine. We were similar sleepers. However, I love having my own room, but you have to wait until you're an upper classman before you can get into apartment style housing.

  • Awww yeaah. I'm transferring to SCAD next semester, SO EXCITED~

Anyway I was wondering, how are the showers, temperature wise? The showers at my dorm now are so cold ): I'd think differently for individual showers like they harbor in these dorms but I thought I'd ask someone who goes there.

  • @giai0z

The showers are actually very hot. The only time we've (my roommates and I) have had trouble with the showers are during times when everyone is showering (namely 6:30 am, 11 am and 11 pm). These are the times where it's often impossible to shower, but besides that the showers are amazing.

  • @gingyyycakes Oh man that sounds WONDERFUL. ;^; I can't wait. Thanks for responding!

    Also awesome room btw :)

  • Im applying to the scad in atlanta i wasnt able to see the dorms on the tour cuz we came too late :C. r all the scad dorms the same size? cuz if so ill b mega happy XD

  • How'd u get all that stuff, do u hav a job cuz im going to scad soon?

  • Do the dorms come with a micro fridge and microwave?

Do you like it at SCAD?

Cool anime posters, by the way.

  • @Abby2092

You have to rent the micro fridge/microwave separately.

I love it at scad. It's such an awesome place to be. Plus, the other people who go here make it worth coming here.

I vote there is never a dull moment.

    And thanks >w<
