This book changed my life in 1983. I found it out when I was living in Recife, Brasil.  That is the book of my conversion. Although I was born into a Protestant family I was struggling to reach a condition pleasing to God.

Watch out brothers. The Lords Recovery aka "local church" are a cult pretending to e the true church of Christ. They call themselves Lord's recovery because they believe that other Chriatians will e in he'll for a 1000 years and that other churches are "whores of Babylon" search google for "living stream ministry cult"

I have no idea where you got all that hellfire and whore talk from but Witness Lee (a partner of Nee) clarified what was meant: "Some may define the Lord’s recovery as the recovery of the genuine oneness, but genuine oneness is simply Christ Himself. Others may define the Lord’s recovery as the recovery of the proper church life, but the proper church life also is Christ. Thus, the Lord’s recovery is the recovery of Christ as everything to us."

Im a big fan of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee, their writings have opened my eyes to the scriptures more than ever. I mean their writings and the Holy Spirit! After knowing that our new spirit man is the "only" part of us that is "the church" we can understand other areas of our walk in Christ. Just like eve came out of Adam and not of the dust, so did the church come out of Christ! One spirit!

I am currently reading a volume of Watchman Nee's "Twelve Baskets Full."

it is AMAZING. hugely profound insights and though it's a small book it is definitely not a small read!! I recommend it strongly to all Christians--even to unbelievers. Praise God for such a wonderful follower who could leave such a helpful legacy :)

Dear Christian Counseling Ministry , the Lord started His recovery work from Luther until Ms Barber to Watchmen Nee and his co worker Witness Lee. Sometimes called the two men of oil. Witness Lee brought the Lords worldwide move out of China to the Philippines, Taiwan and unto the US , Europe the rest of Asia, Africa and south America.Those in it identified as the church in Philadelphia , in there first Love for the Lord and not loving there souls etc.. Why separate W.Nee from this move ?

Thanks to Watchman Nee's book, God opened my eyes to the truth that I died with Christ, that the Father placed me In Christ and that my old Adam-life was crucified with Him. However, I am still struggling. I believe this as an abstract idea, but I somehow cannot yet make it real in my life. God has told me to take a very definite, practical step to make this a reality, yet I admit I have been too afraid to take that step. I am so weak. Please, help me, Lord, I want to be who you want me to be.

"Spirtual Man" is second only to the Bible in my life, however I believe Watchman became ruined in later years as he became more religous and a celeberity in churchianity.

I don't understand why you believe he was ruined by his celebrity in the church. He spent the last 20 years of his life suffering in prison. Are you thinking of someone else?

He spent his last years in prison because he loved the Lord and the Christ in him was manifested. More religous? In prison.... I don't think so buddy

this reminds me of apostle Paul..the last years of his life was spend in prison in Rome...This was also the place where he wrote some of the epistles..legends says that he died in a sewer in Rome - his final punishment as Roman citizen.

But Ephesians 1:23 tells us that Christ is the One who fills all in all. Such a person is the center of the gospel of God. The gospel is concerning Jesus Christ the God-man; hence, Jesus Christ the God-man is the center of the good news and the glad tidings of God to men. Hallelujah, Praise the Lord!

Then what is the center of the book of Romans, which is on the gospel of God? The center is a person, the most wonderful person in the whole universe. He is an unlimited, all-inclusive, and all-extensive person. In Ephesians 1 we are told that this all-inclusive and extensive person fills all and in all in the universe (v.23). The measurement of the universe has no end. No one can tell how big the universe is or how many things are in it.

Sixth, we must receive God's constant and instant dispensing continuously through unceasing prayer, not quenching the Spirit (1Thes. 5:17,19). Fifth, we must overcome individualism, sectarianism, and Christianity, and we must live the life of the Body of Christ (Rev.2:26-27; 3:21). We must overcome every kind of "anity" and "ism," including Christianity and "church-anity." We must also learn to live the life of the Body of Christ.

Fourth, we must be filled with the Spirit within and without, and we must live and walk according to the Spirit in our spirit (Acts 13:52; 4:31b; Gal.5:16,25; Rom.8:4b) To be filled with the Spirit within and without is to be filled inwardly and outwardly. To be filled inwardly is to have the infilling of the Spirit, and to be filled outwardly is to experience the outpouring of the Spirit.

Third, we must live Him as the pneumatic Christ by the bountiful supply of His Spirit(Phil.1:19b-21a). The pneumatic Christ has a supply-the Spirit of Jesus Christ. The Spirit of Jesus Christ has the bountiful supply to support us so that we can live the pneumatic Christ, who is not in the flesh but in the spirit, in the pneuma.

Second, We must live in Christ's resurrection through His cross (Phil. 3:10). Every day we should walk and live under the shadow of the cross. We should always remain under the cross, not doing anything in a natural way. Then we will have the experience of Christ's resurrection.

First, we must be identified with the all-inclusive Christ, as the threefold seed in His humanity, in His death, resurrection, and ascension, so that we can be one with Him, even one spirit with Him (Rom.6:3-5,Eph.2:6;1,1Cor.6:17­) It is in this way that we are one with the Triune God.

Sometimes Christians can have depression too. Jesus himself was in much emotional suffering when he was praying to God the Father in the garden before his crucifiction. He was suffering so much that he sweated blood. If Jesus experienced some sort of anxiety its possible that we his followers, who are less than him in every way, may feel depression or anxiety.

Except what he was doing at Gethsemane is not comparable to anything anyone else has ever suffered in this life. That was Jesus' anxiety as he was about to bear the entirety of God's wrath for ALL sins. It's hard enough to bear the sin of one person, yet he did it for ALL sinners.

We are not supposed to be depressed or anxious, but being sad is expected.
