I've done a few small projects before and find the best thing is what you learn. No project is ever perfect first time, they always need things to be tweeked and changed. Good work A+.

@skater96x when I was in school a good 16-12 years ago. 9-12 grades. we had a program called BOCES

9th grade I took small engine repair. 10th-11th I took motorcycle/marine repair. and for 12th I continued my teachings with the M/M teacher doing heavy fabrications.

during all these times we had projects. I had a 79' ktm 400 dirtbike that I made a cylinder head for yes machined from a block or aluminum. the same bike I also custom machined the case etc to use a 90s electronic ignition.

@racerc2000 also made a new side cover from scratch. my 12th grade project was a 86 250 ninja. motor was installed on a go kart and turbo added. aside from other major engine work. frame was made from 4" aluminum main tubes and 90% of everything else was billet aluminum wither hand made in a lathe or on the cnc machine

Hey now, what kind of clutch do you have on it? All I have been able to find is a 13 hp clutch. I would like to do a similar build with a 23 hp v twin motor. I think you did a really awesome job on this. Building something from scratch is tough and you pulled it off. As you move forward I hope to see larger scale builds....maybe a buggy. You can pull it off.

lash63 you are wrong the traction force change the direction of weight to back of the kart ( vectorial scale) so the backdeck takes the most weight in walking  this is a very nice project...everybody should have an oportunity to do something like this even one time when at teenager REALLY GOOD JOB
