Teaching Gawayne who is a "slow learner" and is hard of hearing cued speech. I am trying to make him understand that the Letter "A" makes the "a" sound (with the cue with it) and ALSO writing the letters. So that he will be able to "sound out words" using the visual sound system of "Cued Speech." There is a visual hand/mouth shape for each sound. Deaf kids can NOW learn how to read English like a hearing child would....
