..I say when the lib greenies & their lawyers have left us with only 50 gallons of 100LL left in the world...we give it all to John Mohr, sit back, and watch what he does with it.. I'll buy the beer.
I truly don't understand why you guys think this guy is sooo good? We have a stearman and we do alot better acrobatics then what he is doing here... Im 16 btw
@006haloman "...Im 16 btw..." - there's your answer. Do you even understand the difficulty and incredibly small margin for error in the maneuvers he is doing? Misjudging his seat of the pants altitude by a few feet could have him plowing into the runway during this demo. Not to mention, this plane is very underpowered and sloppy at flying these type aerobatics at best.
I have flown for 13 years, from little electric radio controls to full scale with about 400 hours... this guy is good.
I just saw this guy today at Airpower Over Hampton Roads 2009, he BLEW MY FREAKING MIND. I thought he was the best part of the airshow, even better than all the modern jets and their noisy high speed fly-bys. There's a reason he's won all those showmanship awards.
That's true! I agree. I saw him last year at the Sun 'n fun and he was amazing. I fell inlove with the stearman after that. I also thought it was way better than the extras and pitts. I got the chance to fly that airplane as well and it's amazing. John Mohr is great pilot. Just got back from sun 'n fun today and didn't get the chance to see him though. Hopefully will at Oshkosh this year.
Having recently flown a stock Boeing Stearman, identical to John's, for the first time, and done aerobatics in it, Mr Mohr walks on water as far as I am concerned. Very skillful flying.
