The reasons that this wouldn't go through is because she isn't the biological father. Maybe if they can add to it, and say that so and so is the adopted parent, then that would be possible, but to not put the biological father on it altogether, that shouldn't happen.

My ONLY issue with this is the legal precedent that it will set. Babies come from 23 male chromosomes and 23 female chromosomes. For the child, I feel like it's best to know who their biological father is, (which is what i thought the birth certificate was for). Anyway it's really hard to have a reasonable discourse these days, but i want to know what you think.

What a sick & twisted world this has become. I feel saddened to see these poor souls actually thinking that they're ok. They're living proof, actual symptoms of the perverse nature of the modern age. It has to end soon. Where did the seed for the conception of this child come from?

They didn't win...common sense lost. A birth certificate is not an adoption paper and needs to have both actual parents included, if known. It has nothing to do with equal rights. The non-birthing adoptive woman is a third party and has no place on a child's birth certificate.

Having urges isn't wrong. In fact you won't be punished for thinking sexual thought about the same gender- ACTING on those urges is what makes it a sin. Its gross, unnatural, and just wrong.

Silly Iowa, why would you legalize gay marriage but not give equal rights to both parents in regards to legal guardianship?
