  • I shall call this sermon: The anatomy of the gospel. FJS spoke as if he was a first hand witness on calvary. Wow! I love him endlessly!

  • The worst part of my life, is when I remember working with some Finish Lutheran missionaries who preached about themselves and despised even the very pastors they educated to worship them instead of worshiping the God that this Bishop preached and continue to preach now.

God thank you as you forgive me and bless Bishop Sheen in his sleep.

  • I am moved and edified by his preaching. May God bless him!

  • When he had his TV show on NBC, he used to regularly beat even Uncle Milty in the ratings! He is an awesome communicator and one of the great Christian minds in history.

  • I liked how he compared the pain his tooth problem to what Christ did.

  • I cried over my sins. I thank God for a fulton sheen. May he be declared a saint of the universal church.

  • i love you my wise friend .

  • If only more priests would learn to have such compassion as this!

  • Thank you for posting this.

  • very good

  • Spectators of Love:

At the foot of the Cross is Mary Magdalen, too overcome with grief to stand, she is at the feet of the Lord... and his Blessed Mother. They stand for 2 kinds of love:

    1. Need love (we want food, thought, music, friends)

    2. Gift love (does not want anything, just gives, surrenders, sacrifices)...

  • C.S. Lewis said, "God whispers to us in our pleasures, He speaks to us in our conscience, and He shouts to us in our pain." Sheen says "pain is Heaven's loudspeaker." Sheen relates a story of his dad allowing him to suffer at the dentist while his dad held his hand without stopping the dentist-- as an analogy of the Heavenly Father letting His Son suffer on the Cross for the good of the Church. The name Jesus means Savior: he saves us from our sins. Suffering well takes us higher in heaven.

  • Absolutely tremendous. If only there were more Bishop Sheens in the world.

  • I only regret that that I didn't come to my senses in time to benefit from more of the messages from this very unique member of the body of Christ. He makes me feel both inadequate and empowered at the same time.
