Vandana was the only one on the panel that spoke about TRUE sustainability. The other two are corporate puppets who basically want to veil the truth that gov't and corporations are setting out to change nature and make it a business where a farmer CAN'T live off the land like they have for centuries, but now must BUY genetically modified seeds from them (in essence strangling natural food sources until they are no more).

I honestly believe that globalization has also added to the situation in its own way. Multi functional farms etc. work great.. I am all for it and support that completely. Food production should be localized and that way its most efficient. Its grown locally, and arrives at the local market fresh every day. I cant understand why a food product is shipped 1000's of miles when is it available locally in great abundance and of the best quality.
