CHURCHILL IS AN EVIL FUCKING CUNT & WAR CRIMINAL THAT ORDERED THE BOMBING & GENOCIDE OF OVER 500,000 German Children, Women, Men, Elderly & even all the animals in DRESDEN!
@harris1ization Don't forget the many Generals who served under them. Though it can be said that everyone from that generation were the best of any before or after.
@harris1ization Don't forget Charlie Chaplin. Go watch The Dictator (not that Sacha Baron Cohen crap being made, but Chaplin's film). Chaplin gives one of the greatest speeches ever given at the end of the film. You can even find the speech on Youtube.
@SuperTastyone The British Empire and its Common wealth still exists. Its just its not called an Empire anymore because nations feel intimidated by it, so its been split up in terms of name to ease the minds of our comrade nations. I.E common wealth nations [not the same as CWrealm], crown territories and british overseas territories. Call it what you want, Empire or a bag of shit, the English crown is the only super power on planet Earth.
Winston chuchill took payments from the focus group these wher mainly jewish bankers before the war, hard to believe ? Ther is documented proof .Thats why europe today is a muti racial society... Adolf hitler was fighting to preserve the white race in europe unfortunatly the victor {the jews} writes the history . the holocaust never happend . The dead bodies we see died from typhus probably droped by chuchill he wanted to drop anthrax.but thankfully didnt
@8the8just8 hm my mothers good friend would disagree, he was one of the first soldiers to walk into one of the camps, and he was never the same again.
You say hitler wanted to preserve the white race? surely he would want all the jews dead then? What about all the Jewish people who made it through the holocaust and told their stories? funny how all stories were so similar. Anyway, we'll all believe what we will.
@EndofAutumn The jews declaired war on hitler.and the german people in 1926 of 178 banks in germany 150 wher owned by jews . Its no coincidence that they have been turfed out of every country in europe and most in north africka south america WHY ?
For manipulating and lying and cheating , for causing wars then selling guns to both sides ,when its over move in and buy up everything .And by the Way the word holocaust was never used befor 1970.the so called holcaust is big bussiness .
@bri4u2906 Is it any wonder ?iraq, afgan, next stop iran ,Jews did 9./11. proof the military knows it to .jews run america.obamas backers ?goldman sachs .All his staff ex ha ha .goldman sachs... .obliterating countries palestine plus countless others all over the world .jews controle the mass media .polotics, banks, law. ANTI SEMITE ,,,YES THATS ME ANTI ZIONIST
@bri4u2906 Why dont you check the facts,as given by dr allan sabrowsky @youtube [why the military knows that israel did 9/11.].but even then you will not believe it. Caus you have your job to do ,That is planting doubt in peoples minds... with comments like THAT HAS BEEN DISPROVEN.... AND NEW EVIDENCE...your job is defending zionism,,,,isnt it ? even though you know its true.zionism must be wiped from this world before ther can be any peace for people
You listen to this speech and it makes you realise what short memories some of our "friends" around Europe have. I am referring particularly to the French, who would all be speaking German now if it wasn't for the Brits, Americans and Canadians.
@76juno That's the truest thing I've ever heard, especially as the French have been finding new ways to screw us over since we liberated them. They're even trying now EVEN after they got economically downgraded! Makes you laugh at them really.
@76juno They would have been better off speaking german ,Caus if sarkosis zionist plans about inter racial marriage becomes law ,The french people will be speaking swaheeli, or bongo bongo.
I've studied this Battle in detail for History projects etc. After all my research and pages of notes, one question remains. How did we win the Battle of Britain?! Outnumbered by significantly more advanced warplanes what was it that allowed us to win? I've only been able to think of one answer. We were fighting for what we believed to be right. Never in modern conflict has there been such a unanimous support of a conflict. We were fighting for our country and our freedom over our own soil.
I wonder if people from Eastern Europe have positive opinions about churchill.Remember, the original reason for declaring war on Germany was to protect Polish independence,at least officially. Then at Tehran in 1944 he and roosevelt agreed to hand over Poland and the rest of Eastern Europe to the tender mercies of Stalin without arguing. They suffered for decades because of that moral cowardice.
@pequodman I imagine there would have been a lot of harm done to the feeling towards Britain and Churchill, but that moral cowardice was the alternative to a conflict with Russia, a conflict that Europe could ill afford. Russia could have swept across the continent with little or no resistance. Is that really moral cowardice?
@tractorboydavidbrown Not really. The war was already won the day Hitler failed in his "Operation Barbarossa". It was all then just a question of when the Allies would win, not if. And Great Britain already had the jet engine in 1930. It was invented by Frank Whittle.
@evileyesneo12 CHURCHILL IS AN EVIL FUCKING CUNT & WAR CRIMINAL THAT ORDERED THE BOMBING & GENOCIDE OF OVER 500,000 German Children, Women, Men, Elderly & even all the animals in DRESDEN!
Radar. Were it not for the Manhattan project, and the atomic bomb, it would be RADAR as the huge technical invention of WWII. The British coastal radar let the air command see the planes.
Pilots. It's relatively easy to make planes. It is hard to make pilots. Many pilots measured their lives in hundreds of hours.
Nearly 70 years on it feels almost predestined as to the result -- but not so at the time.
I have created a music album which charts this same period of British history:
Britain At War - Darkest Hour by Rhesus Monkey. The album covers the Prelude to War, The King's Speech, The Battle of France, Dunkirk, The Battle of Britain, and of course The Blitz. I've also created a video to accompany Churchill's address to the United States in June 1941: 'The Old Lion'. You can view that video within my YouTube channel.
Personally I think you're all idiots. None of you were there yet you all act as though you are experts on the matter. The war was won; it matters not who put in the most effort, man power, supplies or money. It was a collaborative effort and thank god it was; no nation on its own would have succeeded in repelling the nazis...
Personally I think you're all idiots. None of you were there yet you all act as though you are experts. The reality is that, the war was won, it matters not who put in the most effort, man power, supplies or money. It was a cil
if all you british people could get a dual citizenship so you can vote for ron paul in 2012 and save the usa i would appreciate that alot, because this is our finest hour. this is the battle for america and we sorta need as much help as possible
@d3ltadrive Our country looks as though it's on the brink of economic collapse, social depravity and after those riots, i dare say civil war.Who's going to help us?What's Ron Paul going to do about mass unemployment in Britain? It would seem as although America and Britain are fighting the same problems, difference is that U.S has enough land to sustain itself, we on the other hand would eventually starve...our empire is gone,we can't fall back on anything...Would you help us? NO we're on our own
@AngryBroomHandler Well do you imagine Europe will help you? We have a bread basket here with enough to share with Allies. Maybe that's idealist in this nihilistic age yet history tells us something does it not?
@AngryBroomHandler I think that last is a bit unfair. US shipping kept Britain going through two world wars and NATO is essentially America putting money in and Western Europe getting security without paying for it. Also, if want more wealth, stop voting those socialists from the labor party into power. If you want to contain Islamic violence stop being so damn PC.
@suspicious35 Fighter production was of lesser importance due to several factors. Every fighter built was not sent directly into the blue yonder. Pilots had to be trained and planes divided up to different bases. Don't get me wrong production was a major factor. However, aircraft production showed its value after the battle of Britian. England's air force emerged bloodied, but they remained sound and grew stronger. Germany suffered more because they couldn't rebuild as fast.
@suspicious35 Lend Lease was probably the biggest factor in slowing Nazi advances prior to the bolstering of allied power with American involvement. American shipments of food kept the British people fed while they focused much of thier industry to repelling the Germans. Reverse Lend lease was just as imporant. As British anti-submarine vessels helped protect american shorelines.
@d3ltadrive I'm Canadian but I've been worrying about the States (and now Canada) a lot with all this stuff going down. I really wish I could vote for Ron Paul for you!
@d3ltadrive Ron Paul would not have come to the aid of England in WW2. He is an immoral nutjob not taken seriously by many Americans. He will never be elected to higher office thank God.
It was seen at Dover to Bay of Bengal. To Australia to Canada. From Africa to the Middle East that when France surrender the English would be the last. When it was all in bleak it was stated by so many that England should soon surrender with the fate of time against them and so many famous and strong states had fallen. There was still a voice in the bleak darkness of death and destruction of Europe. The only voice never to give in. The voice that would still cry today. The voice is England!
I can see in a time of war and in strife a nation of more than 60 million laid upon one man's body. This man Was just not Churchill, the king and queen god rest their soles. It laid upon every man, every child, every women. They would see it unto the end. As in statements of the past it was said "for when the birds would leave the Tower England would fall, but did they not?" No! This was of a tragic piece of time that someone would not want to forget, but may all rise to the challenge.
World War II was a dark time in human history, yes, but it also had some of our greatest heroes appear. Winston Churchill. Douglas MacArthur. Eleanor Roosevelt.
The British and the Soviets deserve ALL the credit for the victory over the Axis powers, America just got there made some kind of fuss and took pictures. If America wants any glory for WW2 you have the Pacific, but Europe belonged to the Europeans.
@xxuncexx The Pacific theater was all America, yes they deserve the glory, and blah blah, but in Europe American troops were nothing compared to the efforts of the British and Soviets, however in North Africa the Americans did show that they could fight the Germans, but if you look at what Britain and USSR did America did almost nothing.
@nemesis962074 dont forget who stormed the beaches of normandy, parachuted in from the sky, flew b17 and b29's into the heart of germany against the luftwaffe. have you seen Band of Brothers? its a movie but those were real events. dont forget the battle of the bulge. who supplied the war effort!!!
@xxuncexx D-Day was just a political victory that had little effect on military warfare. By this point Stalin was extremely frustrated with his "allies" because they had not begun a major invasion in Western Europe, Italy was being taken by the Americans but the Soviets were more focused on a northern invasion. The battle of Stalingrad had been won a year ago, the bloodiest battle in human history, more Soviets died in Stalingrad than Americans in WW1 and WW2 combined.
@xxuncexx As for the British they had defeated the Luftwaffe in the battle of Britain, without significant American intervention. The allied country that helped the most in WW2 was USSR, second place goes to the British Empire, third goes to USA, and fourth Poland :p Like I said the US did help, a lot, but compared to Europe it did almost nothing to win the war, either way Japan was not a threat to the British, except in India.
@nemesis962074 D-Day was a political victory? dude thats where they broke through the atlantic wall and the AMERICANS liberated France. please tell me what britian did which was more significant than america. the battle of britian all you did was stop bombers from hitting you but nothing offensive. and poland? btw look up the british surrender in singapore
@xxuncexx the British defeated Rommels dessert force in the western dessert and at EL Alamein. Made the land based plans at D-day whilst the anericans planned the navel portion. Obliterated the Ruhr Valley and crippled the German industrial strength. Liberated Berg-Belsen concentration camp. Created the SAS, the commandos and alot of elite forces upon which nearly all american and other armed forces special forces are based upon. That sounds pretty significant doesn't it.
@xxuncexx People who fought in the skies above the channel; the beaches of Normandy; the Pacific; the Eastern Front; the African Front; the war factories; the kitchens; the interns handling the paperwork; the people printing the propaganda and even the man driving the train, containing thousands of children seperated from their parents, to the countryside; deserve a thousand times more respect than you're giving them.
@xxuncexx The British pretty much destroyed the Luftwaffe, after the battle of Britain British forces began to bombard German territories, even though the Nazis were still bombing British territories too. The royal air force fought like no other before them, even Stalin appreciated the British, to a point of course. However the Americans fought smaller battles in Europe, they just assisted the British in the west. The only American battle that deserves some glory if the battle of the bulge.
@nemesis962074 Please do not forget the tremendous contributions made by Canadian soldiers, Canada as a whole, not to mention the many Commonwealth nations that sent troops to defend against Hitler... Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, etc. were all part of the "British" effort. This in no way belittles the British effort as they were an incredible example to everyone but please let us not forget that many Commonwealthers gave their lives in WW II as well and do not deserve to be forgotten.
@nemesis962074 Would you discount all that was done for England prior to the US entering the war? All free of charge I might add. Roosevelt made sure of that because our politicians were fully against the war. And after we entered the war do you feel our contribution insignificant?
Well I lost a Grandfather and two great uncles for a "photo op" then?
@Myles0Harcourt ya but britian is an island now if britian was im the geographical spot where france or even russia is and held them off that would be something also germany didnt have a great navy
The Germans wouldn't of completely invaded Britain, The British during the wartime had more men (Boatloads from Canada, Australia, New Zealand, India, Just to name a few) We also had a superior airforce, German reconnaissance planes would have been Shot down by the hundreds, leaving them essentialy blind, and leaving individual German companys cornered.
@Rorylfc3 dude britians defense was so weak in 1940 that germany blitzkrieged them which means germany practically flew all over them with little resistance the main reason hitler didnt invade was cause than u.s. would most likely interveine and hed be forced to keep majority of his troops in uk instead of sending the 5 million plus he sent to russia in 1941 also britian didnt even start to hold of the nazis till 1940 when rosevelt sent them over 70billion dollars in war materical
What? Hitler attempted to bomb Britain into submission and it didn't work because our AA guns were doing their jobs, he also tried to launch an air attack, The Battle of Britain, Hitlers (Or rather Goerings) forces were pounded by the RAF, and this was all in 1940, Hitler had not invaded the Soviet Union at that point, and his priority was to invade Britain, he didn't even consider the threat of action from the USA, they only joined because Japanese attack at Pearl Harbour.
@Rorylfc3 read about the land lease act we were basically fighting the war with our money by 1940 we sent britian over 40 destroyers plus much other material and in my opinion if hitler had invaded britian and moved into the capital america would be forced to intervine and i said he didnt want that cause than he wouldnt have the numbers in men to invade russia just realize without america britian would be speaking german you can read it anywhere WE WERE FIGHTING THE WAR WITH OUR MONEY
The lend-lease was signed in 1941, 1 year after the Battle of Britain, in which we fought alone, without the financial assistance of the USA, And we destroyed the German aerial operation. Britain would most definitely not be speaking German without American assistance, the USA joining World War 2 only took 1-2 years off of the war.
@Rorylfc3 But you did not fight alone. Canada entered the war only a short week after Britiain and France and was a major ally to the British, not only in sending troops but in providing escorts for over 25,000 shipments of supplies to England, for providing money, food, supplies and even training camps for the RAF in Canada. Canada was in full support of Great Britain and the other Allies from the beginning.
@Rorylfc3 Your complete knowledge of history is shockingly small. German aircraft were better than RAF aircraft in many aspects except for one and that is range. The biggest threat to german aircraft in the battle of Britian was lack of fuel. They could only engage in combat for short amounts of time. British Aircraft got thier kills in by harassing them over britian and on the way home. Not to discredit the excellent British in anyway, but know what you are talking about.
However you define "Better" is down to opinion, don't forget that the British fighter planes were far more agile. Whatever the case may be, don't insult my historical knowledge based off of your own opinions.
@Rorylfc3 I can question your historical knowledge based on your "British Planes were far more agile" statement, which is completely false. There is nothing wrong with lavishing praise on British Airmen but you do both them and thier Germany counterparts a great disservice for muddling up thier history.
@Rorylfc3 Well there are 2 types of sources. Your sources that just lump the Battle of Britian into a few statistics. Such as "Better" planes supposedly. While these sources are great for highschool kids writing papers they are far from perfect. Speak with pilots who flew there, read over doctrines, mission specs, etc. This type of research will truly open your eyes. So our sources are different, mine are just better.
Which would probably explain it seeing as i am doing my GCSE's, and yes i have spoke with a pilot who flew in the Second World War, he was obviously in favour of the British fighter planes.
@Rorylfc3 One pilot? That is hardly a source. I take it he was British too? Now you have a lone source that is probably biased. I've interviewed over 20 pilots of the British and German airforces over the years. Probably double that number in support crews. British aircraft were not superior to German ones at all. Victory was achieved through tactics, location, and alot of luck, not superior planes.
@MadMilitiaMen The planes were superior but your right and i would like to add the skill and tenacity of the pilots and ground crew hell and everyone in britian.
@SirStokie1 See mate, thats the misconception i'm trying to show people. British planes weren't overly superior like many believe. In reality, the Me110 outperformed the Spitfire in certian aspects. The Me109 was more or less equal. The real advantage the Brits had was range of aircraft. German fighters could only operate for 10 minutes over England. The Brits used this advantage to hammer the krauts on thier return flights.
Is that why Fighter Ace Frohm asked Goering for a squadron of Spitfires?
Spitfire had rounded wing tips which was more versatile than Messerschimdt ME109s. Battle of Britain stats showed Royal Air Force beat Germans by a ratio over 2:1. That is why Germany lost the Battle and hence the War.
British had radar, but more importantly the most advance air scramble response system in the world. Biggest German blunder was when Goering decided to bomb London. Biggest Mistake.
@angryyoungh So much wrong information in one comment mate. It was Galland who asked for Spitfires as a joke. He considered the 109 superior to the spitfire. However, in the battle of Britian, Me109s were operating at the edge of thier range. They could only operate over England for less than 10 minutes. Most of the British kills occured as they hounded the Germans during thier return flights. German planes were also forbidden from leaving bomber formations. Education is good. =)
@MadMilitiaMen The main factor in British victory during the battle of Britain was superior fighter production. They made almost 3 fighters for every German fighter produced.
@suspicious35 No my friend, fighter producation had nothing to do with the results of the Battle of Britian. British production of fighter aircraft did not come into play until later in the war. Indeed, at the onset of the battle of britian, Germany had a much larger airforce compared to the British.
@MadMilitiaMen I am not saying that Britain had more fighters going in, I am saying they were building more fighters at the beginning of the Battle of Britain. Germany started with more planes and better pilots but the scales tipped because the British built planes faster than they lost them and could recover downed pilots.
Germany produced 10,826 planes in '40 and 12,401 in '41 for the UK 15,049 and 20,094 and England focused on fighters while the Germans had to build bombers.
@suspicious35 Yes mate but you misunderstand. Britian's faster production of fighters did not directly influence the outcome of the Battle of Britian. The main effect of superior fighter production was that England was not as hampered by the loss of aircraft during the battle. If anything fighter production had minimal effects on the Battle of Britian.
@MadMilitiaMen I here what your saying pal, but why? If the Battle Britain was fought during the summer and fall of 1940, how can fighter production during and before those months be of no import?
@Poeteten I have listened to this entire speech, as well as all of his other ones =). When i first became a historian, I did much work on old Winston. I truly believe that he is one of the greatest, if not the greatest, leaders of the 1900s. Sadly, leadership of his caliber is hard to find these days.
@USSWISCONSIN64 Amen to that. Every one of the pilots that i have interviewed have stated that they survived the 2nd World War more to luck than anything else.
@MadMilitiaMen Well, I am not sure if that is completely accurate. The Germans did NOT have a Heavy Bomber such as the "over-achieving" Avro Lancaster. Neither did they have a high-speed (400mph) light-bomber such as the unique DeHavilland Mosquito. And Goring was advised:
@thephilster57 Good lord mate. Not only is most of your information wrong but do you not read either. What Galland said was mainly a joke, though he did like the Spitfire for its range. As my comment was based on the Battle of Britian, your comment on the Lancaster and Mosquito are not needed. Also, the German 109 was less agile at lower altitudes. At high altitudes, it easily matched the Spitfire. You had good information, but it was flawed none-the-less. Cheers mate =)
@MadMilitiaMen And, as Goring was advised: "It wasn't just the Spitfire pilots who rated the plane. The top German ace, Adolf Galland, was asked by Hermann Göring, head of the Luftwaffe, what he required in order to break down the stubborn British resistance. "I should like an outfit of Spitfires" was the terse reply.
Another German ace complained, "The bastards can make such infernally tight turns. There seems to be no way of nailing them."
- then there was the resilient people's NEED to survive and defeat this Evil..... - and, there was the Home Chain ... ex-pat loving the USA, x-101st Airborne RVN
@MadMilitiaMen Most of the British Fighter Aircraft used by the RAF during the Battle of Britain were Hawker Hurricanes which were inferior to the ME-109. The British won the Battle because of Hitler, and Goering's stupidity- namely choosing to bomb London instead of RAF airfields. The Germans would have conquered the USSR aswell if not for Hitler.
@KaiserReich98 No the Germans would not have. Even without Hitler and Goering, the Germans had one disadvantage that broke thier advance. That disadvantage is just simple supply chains. The Germans just did not have an effective transport service to ship goods to Russia or North Africa. They used over 10 different 4x4 transport trucks from captured nations in Russia alone. Imagine the difficulty in upkeeping such a diverse range of vehicles.
@MadMilitiaMen Supply chains would have obviously been a big issue for the Germans. But what you have to consider is that the only reason the Russians had good supply lines was that following the German failure to capture Moscow, the Russians simply destroyed their factories via scorched earth and proceeded to move their entire economy past the Ural mountains. If the Germans blitzed through Russia fast enough they would have had those factories as supply reusable supply points.
@KaiserReich98 Its not that simple. Even if Germans captured Russian factories it would change nothing. You cannot fix German tanks with russian equipment. Nor the numerous supply vehicles made up of captured equipment. Sure the Germans might have been able to change them to make them useable but it would have taken even longer. Without effective supply thier is no effective blitizkreig.
@MadMilitiaMen actually you can fix german tanks with russian equipment because up untill operation barbarossa the russians had been making many of the tanks for germany
@The9thGeneral 1. Name a tank the Russians made for Germany 2. Comparing planes based on the variant or model is downright foolish. The only models that matter are the ones that are taking part in any given operation.
@MadMilitiaMen this may take a few comment boxes since i am quoting a book."while theyhad generally performed well enough on the move, the lack of tanks proved a major handicap whenever it came to fighting. The 6th through the 9th panzer divisons had been in need of renumeration of panzer strength. Thus Germany turns to the Soviet Union for the increase of productin of their panzerr III" and as for the aircraft being compares by variant or model is not foolish.
@MadMilitiaMen but if you wish to go that path your argument still doees not stand. the german aircraft during say the battle of britain were outclassed by far, the only thing the germans had was the number in pilots which britain lacked. Lets look at a MK1 spitfire vs a bf-109E roughly equal in speed and maneuverability give or take difference in weight and in armament but other wise still pretty even. MKV vs 109E the V out classes the E in most ways armor speed guns
@The9thGeneral Sorry to tell you this but the Panzer III was never produced in Russia. It appears your information was flawed. Also, i must say that your comment on aircraft is even more flawed. While at lower alttitues the 109 and spitfire were roughly equal, at higher alttitudes the Spitfires combat performace dropped of dramatically. So if you would like to share information like that, please make sure it is at least accurate.
@MadMilitiaMen actually you are flawed my friend around 150 or so IIIs were made in russia along with spare parts for repairs and as for your logic on the spitfire having better speed at higher altitudes it is also flawed since it is the other way around. spitfires had better speed then the 109 at 15K feet and under between 15 - 25K they were even give or take and at anything above 25k the 109 was faster however dog fights at 25K feet were rare. so it seems that most of your statments are wrong
@The9thGeneral Those Panzer IIIs you mentioned were not built in Russia, they were shipped there for testing purposes. Also, your second comment is funny to say the least. While the spitfire was only slightly faster, the 109 was superior in accleration. The 109 carried heavier firepower. The 109 had a faster roll rate. The biggest difference lied in the engine carburettor. The Spitfire used a standard float type which rendered it unable to operate in negative G forces.
@MadMilitiaMen Ohh sorry but your wrong again those panzers were made after the nazis realised that they needed more tanks the russians built many panzer II's but only about 150 III's yes most of those were made in russia occupied poland but never the less with russian labour. As for your 109 vs spitfire theory ill give the acceleration and everyone knows the 109 had better firepower but the rollrate goes to the spit. because of its dynamic it made it more maneuverable in almost every fashion
@The9thGeneral I cannot tell what is funnier. The fact you still believe the Panzer III and II were manufactured in Russia despite all evidence that shows it never happened. Or the fact your basing this theory on one book. It would be in your best interest to check such facts in the future. Secondly, the Me109 did in fact have a superior roll rate to the Spitfire. Smaller wings and a better centerline weight will do that for you.
@MadMilitiaMen well here is what's funny. A german-american professor wrote that book so un less you have a PhD in history and teach at oxford(both highly unlikly) ya this book is more solid then you are. Second i may be an expert on planes and know only what ive looked up but here is something that comes from a aviation course and an aviation student and an actua pilot. just because the 109 had smaller wings did not mean it could roll faster then the spit, yes a hurrican but not a spit
@MadMilitiaMen the spit was not only a lighter aircraft but it had eliptical shaped wings which allowed more airflow which in turn lessened any induced drag while maneuvering what the 109 had was the cannons and the fuel injected engine ennabling to to dive at a faster rate then that of the spitfire.
@The9thGeneral What does that have to do with rate of roll? You can argue this point all you want but comparison flights using captured models by both Germans and English showed the superior roll rate of the Me 109. Also, you know that theory on Panzer IIIs built in Russia has been proven false. Tanks were sent there for test purposes only. NIce try, but you'll have to do better.
@MadMilitiaMen well when you think about it what models of aircraft are you comparing. if you comparing an early model of the spitfire to a mid era model of BF-109 then thats hardly fair or vice versa. if you want a fair comparison look at the 2 earliest or latest versions. for example the spitefire IX completly outclassed the 109G while the earlier model of 109 say 109B or C held up extremly well against the first two MKs or spitefire plus you have to look at flying experiance of the pilot
@spinnernetfan1 First of all, defence is a broad term, Britain's air defences were excellent, the germans just had overwhelming numbers of planes to send over, the spitfires and their crew were more efficient and could rely on an integrated support network, not to mention shorter refueling times. Hitler didn't invade Britain because he lost the air war over the channel, thus lost the initiative and the necessary air superiority needed for the invasion of an island.
@BigWilki123321 ok and that was basically what i said that hitler couldnt invade cuz it was an island and if he hadnt been planning to invade russia his army was strong enough to take britian
@spinnernetfan1 I do believe that we would have prevailed in the event of invasion simply by virtue of the underdevelopment of the Kreigsmarine. That said, it was Churchill’s decision to attack the French fleet at Mers-el-Kébir which prevented it from falling into German hands.
@spinnernetfan1 "if britian was im the geographical spot where france or even russia is and held them off that would be something also Germany didn't have a great navy" Britain has a powerful navy because we are an island if we were mainland we would either be a tiny nation (no offence Belgium :] ) or like France and Russia a vast nation Britain's Achilles heel has always been its size without that we would have been undisputed military leader of that era and this one.
This evil 33degree mason along with Stalin nd A Hitler(Rothschild) sure knew how to brainwash nd mislead the masses. To keep the well known Rothschild Banking-Cartel's business exponentially grow, yet make the brain washed people to believe it is all OK because 'it is writen in th scriptures' (by JEWS ofcourse 4GOYs) that 'in the last days there'll be'...I hate this pretentious W Churchill who double-crossed many nations, including brits, to please 'The Khazarian Conspiracy, Part 1 of 12'.
Once the zionist menace is relegated to the ash-bin of history, generations, waking up to broad sunlit uplands, will consider how the valorous Allgemeine SS felled the zionist tyrants at numinous venues like Buchenwald and Auschwitz, and they will exclaim, "This was their finest hour!"
I have to say, Winston Churchill is quite possibly the only Tory I truly admire. He had charisma, true leadership skills and a talent for inspirational public speaking. He also knew how to throw a truly witty insult when the right time came. Torys nowadays are charmless, confrontational, snide, self satisfied useless snobs. *cough* Cameron *cough*. Somewhere along the line Torys got the impression they were somehow better than the common man rather then a leader of the common man.
Back to the idiots who were talking about higher education. The States has one of the worst education systems in the Western world along with one of the most poorly educated populations. Granted of course you do have many great universities but only because your country is very big and has lots of money so they're able to fund large private universities.
@babs4653 Mkay, you are letting illegal immigrants and children of inner cities test scores dictate the way you view American education. Unfortunately, America still does have a considerable amount of people not taking advantage of the equal rights for all men that we now offer in our nation, but just because we have shitty test scores from kids who don't give a fuck about education DOES NOT mean that we have poor education. It's a social problem that you are mistaking for an

@babs4653 "education" problem. And just to clarify, higher education in America means anything passed high school (or the twelfth grade). I wasn't saying that America has higher education than other countries you twat. I'm simply making the point to a Canadian that if Americans are soooooo ignorant and have such shitty education, than why do we have so many foreigners lining up to be accepted into our schools? You say its because of money, which is true, but why do we have more
@babs4653 money? You say its because we have more people, but I say it's because we have more hard working people. Look at our GDP compared to your countries, and look at China's compared to ours. We have more than 2 1/2 times their GDP and they have more than 3 times the people. Those numbers speak for themselves, but all I really wanted to say is that our higher education facilities (colleges and universities) are not shitty like the ignorant Canuck believes them to be.
@GreenMiracle77 also while im thinking on it yale harvard and georgia 3 high end schools you have while the rest are pretty much are trailer trash. at least canada has a consistant educational level for most of the country which are just as good as those three,-other then the universities closer to the border
I have always enjoyed the concept of this all, the idea that even if you lose, let it be known to the world you only fell after holding your ground and only after one can no longer bear arms not because of weakness, but because of exhaustion.
I don't understand how people like you can actually believe the holocaust was a lie when
there are pictures of concentration camps and of destroyed gas chambers. I may not follow Jewish religion, but I still have Israeli blood and 2 people in my family-tree went and died at Auschwitz so fuck you, you ignorant bastard.

SMCPedro 2 weeks ago
I wonder if people from Eastern Europe have positive opinions about churchill.Remember, the original reason for declaring war on Germany was to protect Polish independence,at least officially. Then at Tehran in 1944 he and roosevelt agreed to hand over Poland and the rest of Eastern Europe to the tender mercies of Stalin without arguing. They suffered for decades because of that moral cowardice.
pequodman 2 weeks ago
@pequodman I imagine there would have been a lot of harm done to the feeling towards Britain and Churchill, but that moral cowardice was the alternative to a conflict with Russia, a conflict that Europe could ill afford. Russia could have swept across the continent with little or no resistance. Is that really moral cowardice?

There are other issues.
Nearly 70 years on it feels almost predestined as to the result -- but not so at the time.

suspicious35 1 month ago
@suspicious35 Fighter production was of lesser importance due to several factors. Every fighter built was not sent directly into the blue yonder. Pilots had to be trained and planes divided up to different bases. Don't get me wrong production was a major factor. However, aircraft production showed its value after the battle of Britian. England's air force emerged bloodied, but they remained sound and grew stronger. Germany suffered more because they couldn't rebuild as fast.

@MadMilitiaMen Alright I'll buy that. How do you feel about the contributions of lend lease?
suspicious35 1 month ago
@suspicious35 Lend Lease was probably the biggest factor in slowing Nazi advances prior to the bolstering of allied power with American involvement. American shipments of food kept the British people fed while they focused much of thier industry to repelling the Germans. Reverse Lend lease was just as imporant. As British anti-submarine vessels helped protect american shorelines.

When it was all in bleak it was stated by so many that England should soon surrender with the fate of time against them and so many famous and strong states had fallen. There was still a voice in the bleak darkness of death and destruction of Europe. The only voice never to give in. The voice that would still cry today. The voice is England!

xxuncexx 1 month ago
@xxuncexx D-Day was just a political victory that had little effect on military warfare. By this point Stalin was extremely frustrated with his "allies" because they had not begun a major invasion in Western Europe, Italy was being taken by the Americans but the Soviets were more focused on a northern invasion. The battle of Stalingrad had been won a year ago, the bloodiest battle in human history, more Soviets died in Stalingrad than Americans in WW1 and WW2 combined.
nemesis962074 1 month ago
@xxuncexx As for the British they had defeated the Luftwaffe in the battle of Britain, without significant American intervention. The allied country that helped the most in WW2 was USSR, second place goes to the British Empire, third goes to USA, and fourth Poland :p Like I said the US did help, a lot, but compared to Europe it did almost nothing to win the war, either way Japan was not a threat to the British, except in India.
nemesis962074 1 month ago
@nemesis962074 D-Day was a political victory? dude thats where they broke through the atlantic wall and the AMERICANS liberated France. please tell me what britian did which was more significant than america. the battle of britian all you did was stop bombers from hitting you but nothing offensive. and poland? btw look up the british surrender in singapore
xxuncexx 1 month ago

The Allies liberated Europe, all of them.

Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, etc. were all part of the "British" effort.
Rorylfc3 1 month ago
@Rorylfc3 dude britians defense was so weak in 1940 that germany blitzkrieged them which means germany practically flew all over them with little resistance the main reason hitler didnt invade was cause than u.s. would most likely interveine and hed be forced to keep majority of his troops in uk instead of sending the 5 million plus he sent to russia in 1941 also britian didnt even start to hold of the nazis till 1940 when rosevelt sent them over 70billion dollars in war materical
spinnernetfan1 1 month ago
@spinnernetfan1
Rorylfc3 1 month ago
@Rorylfc3 read about the land lease act we were basically fighting the war with our money by 1940 we sent britian over 40 destroyers plus much other material and in my opinion if hitler had invaded britian and moved into the capital america would be forced to intervine and i said he didnt want that cause than he wouldnt have the numbers in men to invade russia just realize without america britian would be speaking german you can read it anywhere WE WERE FIGHTING THE WAR WITH OUR MONEY
spinnernetfan1 1 month ago
@spinnernetfan1
Rorylfc3 1 month ago
@Rorylfc3 But you did not fight alone. Canada entered the war only a short week after Britiain and France and was a major ally to the British, not only in sending troops but in providing escorts for over 25,000 shipments of supplies to England, for providing money, food, supplies and even training camps for the RAF in Canada. Canada was in full support of Great Britain and the other Allies from the beginning.
silkentresses 1 month ago
@Rorylfc3 Your complete knowledge of history is shockingly small. German aircraft were better than RAF aircraft in many aspects except for one and that is range. The biggest threat to german aircraft in the battle of Britian was lack of fuel. They could only engage in combat for short amounts of time. British Aircraft got thier kills in by harassing them over britian and on the way home. Not to discredit the excellent British in anyway, but know what you are talking about.
MadMilitiaMen 1 month ago
@MadMilitiaMen
However you define "Better" is down to opinion, don't forget that the British fighter planes were far more agile. Whatever the case may be, don't insult my historical knowledge based off of your own opinions.
Rorylfc3 1 month ago
@Rorylfc3 I can question your historical knowledge based on your "British Planes were far more agile" statement, which is completely false. There is nothing wrong with lavishing praise on British Airmen but you do both them and thier Germany counterparts a great disservice for muddling up thier history.
MadMilitiaMen 1 month ago
@MadMilitiaMen
Well, we have obviously read from different sources haven't we? You're denying pretty much everything i say, oh well, agree to disagree i suppose
Rorylfc3 1 month ago
@Rorylfc3 Well there are 2 types of sources. Your sources that just lump the Battle of Britian into a few statistics. Such as "Better" planes supposedly. While these sources are great for highschool kids writing papers they are far from perfect. Speak with pilots who flew there, read over doctrines, mission specs, etc. This type of research will truly open your eyes. So our sources are different, mine are just better.
MadMilitiaMen 1 month ago
@MadMilitiaMen
Which would probably explain it seeing as i am doing my GCSE's, and yes i have spoke with a pilot who flew in the Second World War, he was obviously in favour of the British fighter planes.
Rorylfc3 1 month ago
@Rorylfc3 One pilot? That is hardly a source. I take it he was British too? Now you have a lone source that is probably biased. I've interviewed over 20 pilots of the British and German airforces over the years. Probably double that number in support crews. British aircraft were not superior to German ones at all. Victory was achieved through tactics, location, and alot of luck, not superior planes.
MadMilitiaMen 1 month ago 14
@MadMilitiaMen The planes were superior but your right and i would like to add the skill and tenacity of the pilots and ground crew hell and everyone in britian.
SirStokie1 1 month ago
@SirStokie1 See mate, thats the misconception i'm trying to show people. British planes weren't overly superior like many believe. In reality, the Me110 outperformed the Spitfire in certian aspects. The Me109 was more or less equal. The real advantage the Brits had was range of aircraft. German fighters could only operate for 10 minutes over England. The Brits used this advantage to hammer the krauts on thier return flights.
MadMilitiaMen 1 month ago
@MadMilitiaMen But what of Adolf Galland's answer to Goering on what was needed to win the battle. 'Give me a squadron of Spitfires,' Galland said.
speedyonehundred 1 month ago
@MadMilitiaMen

MadMilitiaMen 1 month ago
@MadMilitiaMen The main factor in British victory during the battle of Britain was superior fighter production. They made almost 3 fighters for every German fighter produced.
suspicious35 1 month ago
@suspicious35 No my friend, fighter producation had nothing to do with the results of the Battle of Britian. British production of fighter aircraft did not come into play until later in the war. Indeed, at the onset of the battle of britian, Germany had a much larger airforce compared to the British.
MadMilitiaMen 1 month ago
@MadMilitiaMen I am not saying that Britain had more fighters going in, I am saying they were building more fighters at the beginning of the Battle of Britain. Germany started with more planes and better pilots but the scales tipped because the British built planes faster than they lost them and could recover downed pilots.
Germany produced 10,826 planes in '40 and 12,401 in '41 for the UK 15,049 and 20,094 and England focused on fighters while the Germans had to build bombers.
suspicious35 1 month ago
@suspicious35 Yes mate but you misunderstand. Britian's faster production of fighters did not directly influence the outcome of the Battle of Britian. The main effect of superior fighter production was that England was not as hampered by the loss of aircraft during the battle. If anything fighter production had minimal effects on the Battle of Britian.

And Goring was advised:
thephilster57 3 weeks ago
@thephilster57 Good lord mate. Not only is most of your information wrong but do you not read either. What Galland said was mainly a joke, though he did like the Spitfire for its range. As my comment was based on the Battle of Britian, your comment on the Lancaster and Mosquito are not needed. Also, the German 109 was less agile at lower altitudes. At high altitudes, it easily matched the Spitfire. You had good information, but it was flawed none-the-less. Cheers mate =)
MadMilitiaMen 3 weeks ago
@MadMilitiaMen And, as Goring was advised: "It wasn't just the Spitfire pilots who rated the plane. The top German ace, Adolf Galland, was asked by Hermann Göring, head of the Luftwaffe, what he required in order to break down the stubborn British resistance. "I should like an outfit of Spitfires" was the terse reply.

@MadMilitiaMen Finally:
Another German ace complained, "The bastards can make such infernally tight turns. There seems to be no way of nailing them."

KaiserReich98 2 weeks ago
@KaiserReich98 No the Germans would not have. Even without Hitler and Goering, the Germans had one disadvantage that broke thier advance. That disadvantage is just simple supply chains. The Germans just did not have an effective transport service to ship goods to Russia or North Africa. They used over 10 different 4x4 transport trucks from captured nations in Russia alone. Imagine the difficulty in upkeeping such a diverse range of vehicles.
MadMilitiaMen 2 weeks ago
@MadMilitiaMen Supply chains would have obviously been a big issue for the Germans. But what you have to consider is that the only reason the Russians had good supply lines was that following the German failure to capture Moscow, the Russians simply destroyed their factories via scorched earth and proceeded to move their entire economy past the Ural mountains. If the Germans blitzed through Russia fast enough they would have had those factories as supply reusable supply points.
KaiserReich98 2 weeks ago
@KaiserReich98 Its not that simple. Even if Germans captured Russian factories it would change nothing. You cannot fix German tanks with russian equipment. Nor the numerous supply vehicles made up of captured equipment. Sure the Germans might have been able to change them to make them useable but it would have taken even longer. Without effective supply thier is no effective blitizkreig.
MadMilitiaMen 2 weeks ago
@MadMilitiaMen actually you can fix german tanks with russian equipment because up untill operation barbarossa the russians had been making many of the tanks for germany
The9thGeneral 1 week ago
@The9thGeneral 1. Name a tank the Russians made for Germany 2. Comparing planes based on the variant or model is downright foolish. The only models that matter are the ones that are taking part in any given operation.
MadMilitiaMen 1 week ago
@MadMilitiaMen this may take a few comment boxes since i am quoting a book."while theyhad generally performed well enough on the move, the lack of tanks proved a major handicap whenever it came to fighting. The 6th through the 9th panzer divisons had been in need of renumeration of panzer strength. Thus Germany turns to the Soviet Union for the increase of productin of their panzerr III" and as for the aircraft being compares by variant or model is not foolish.
The9thGeneral 1 week ago
@MadMilitiaMen but if you wish to go that path your argument still doees not stand. the german aircraft during say the battle of britain were outclassed by far, the only thing the germans had was the number in pilots which britain lacked. Lets look at a MK1 spitfire vs a bf-109E roughly equal in speed and maneuverability give or take difference in weight and in armament but other wise still pretty even. MKV vs 109E the V out classes the E in most ways armor speed guns
The9thGeneral 1 week ago
@The9thGeneral Sorry to tell you this but the Panzer III was never produced in Russia. It appears your information was flawed. Also, i must say that your comment on aircraft is even more flawed. While at lower alttitues the 109 and spitfire were roughly equal, at higher alttitudes the Spitfires combat performace dropped of dramatically. So if you would like to share information like that, please make sure it is at least accurate.
MadMilitiaMen 1 week ago
@MadMilitiaMen actually you are flawed my friend around 150 or so IIIs were made in russia along with spare parts for repairs and as for your logic on the spitfire having better speed at higher altitudes it is also flawed since it is the other way around. spitfires had better speed then the 109 at 15K feet and under between 15 - 25K they were even give or take and at anything above 25k the 109 was faster however dog fights at 25K feet were rare. so it seems that most of your statments are wrong
The9thGeneral 1 week ago
@The9thGeneral Those Panzer IIIs you mentioned were not built in Russia, they were shipped there for testing purposes. Also, your second comment is funny to say the least. While the spitfire was only slightly faster, the 109 was superior in accleration. The 109 carried heavier firepower. The 109 had a faster roll rate. The biggest difference lied in the engine carburettor. The Spitfire used a standard float type which rendered it unable to operate in negative G forces.
MadMilitiaMen 1 week ago
@MadMilitiaMen Ohh sorry but your wrong again those panzers were made after the nazis realised that they needed more tanks the russians built many panzer II's but only about 150 III's yes most of those were made in russia occupied poland but never the less with russian labour. As for your 109 vs spitfire theory ill give the acceleration and everyone knows the 109 had better firepower but the rollrate goes to the spit. because of its dynamic it made it more maneuverable in almost every fashion
The9thGeneral 1 week ago
@The9thGeneral I cannot tell what is funnier. The fact you still believe the Panzer III and II were manufactured in Russia despite all evidence that shows it never happened. Or the fact your basing this theory on one book. It would be in your best interest to check such facts in the future. Secondly, the Me109 did in fact have a superior roll rate to the Spitfire. Smaller wings and a better centerline weight will do that for you.
MadMilitiaMen 1 week ago
@MadMilitiaMen well here is what's funny. A german-american professor wrote that book so un less you have a PhD in history and teach at oxford(both highly unlikly) ya this book is more solid then you are. Second i may be an expert on planes and know only what ive looked up but here is something that comes from a aviation course and an aviation student and an actua pilot. just because the 109 had smaller wings did not mean it could roll faster then the spit, yes a hurrican but not a spit
The9thGeneral 1 week ago
@MadMilitiaMen the spit was not only a lighter aircraft but it had eliptical shaped wings which allowed more airflow which in turn lessened any induced drag while maneuvering what the 109 had was the cannons and the fuel injected engine ennabling to to dive at a faster rate then that of the spitfire.
The9thGeneral 1 week ago
@The9thGeneral What does that have to do with rate of roll? You can argue this point all you want but comparison flights using captured models by both Germans and English showed the superior roll rate of the Me 109. Also, you know that theory on Panzer IIIs built in Russia has been proven false. Tanks were sent there for test purposes only. NIce try, but you'll have to do better.
MadMilitiaMen 6 days ago
@MadMilitiaMen well when you think about it what models of aircraft are you comparing. if you comparing an early model of the spitfire to a mid era model of BF-109 then thats hardly fair or vice versa. if you want a fair comparison look at the 2 earliest or latest versions. for example the spitefire IX completly outclassed the 109G while the earlier model of 109 say 109B or C held up extremly well against the first two MKs or spitefire plus you have to look at flying experiance of the pilot
The9thGeneral 1 week ago
@spinnernetfan1 First of all, defence is a broad term, Britain's air defences were excellent, the germans just had overwhelming numbers of planes to send over, the spitfires and their crew were more efficient and could rely on an integrated support network, not to mention shorter refueling times. Hitler didn't invade Britain because he lost the air war over the channel, thus lost the initiative and the necessary air superiority needed for the invasion of an island.
BigWilki123321 1 month ago
@BigWilki123321 ok and that was basically what i said that hitler couldnt invade cuz it was an island and if he hadnt been planning to invade russia his army was strong enough to take britian
spinnernetfan1 1 month ago
@Rorylfc3 Thank you for not forgetting all the Commonwealth nations that sent troops to help! :)
silkentresses 1 month ago
@spinnernetfan1 I do believe that we would have prevailed in the event of invasion simply by virtue of the underdevelopment of the Kreigsmarine. That said, it was Churchill’s decision to attack the French fleet at Mers-el-Kébir which prevented it from falling into German hands.
Myles0Harcourt 1 month ago
@spinnernetfan1 "if britian was im the geographical spot where france or even russia is and held them off that would be something also Germany didn't have a great navy" Britain has a powerful navy because we are an island if we were mainland we would either be a tiny nation (no offence Belgium :] ) or like France and Russia a vast nation Britain's Achilles heel has always been its size without that we would have been undisputed military leader of that era and this one.

You say its because of money, which is true, but why do we have more
GreenMiracle77 1 month ago
@babs4653 money? You say its because we have more people, but I say it's because we have more hard working people. Look at our GDP compared to your countries, and look at China's compared to ours. We have more than 2 1/2 times their GDP and they have more than 3 times the people. Those numbers speak for themselves, but all I really wanted to say is that our higher education facilities (colleges and universities) are not shitty like the ignorant Canuck believes them to be.
