On March 7, 2006 the Sixth District Court of Appeals in Ohio ruled that BLS (breed specific legislation) violated several constitutional rights of dog owners. The court also ruled that there is no evidence to prove that Pit Bulls are any more dangerous then other breeds, thus restrictions on Pit Bulls were found by the court to be " unreasonable and discriminatory."

Breed bans are unrealistic. Dogfighters will always find a way to fight the dogs. This is a human problem, not a dog problem.

Additionally, prior to the bad breeding practices of drug dealing dog fighters the pitbull was known as the "Babysitter" for it's exempliary temperament. If almost any other dog has a bad moment, someone may get bitten, but will not be maimed for life or killed. If a pit bull terrier or a Rottweiler has a bad moment, often someone is maimed or killed.
