For those who wonder about the train derailing: Just imagine having a toy train and pushing on it from both sides. The train conductor would've attempted to slam on the brakes, and that may have caused an unstable car in the back to explode (if you pay very careful attention, a car explodes before it even has 'reason' to). Thus, it does actually make sense. What doesn't make sense yet is the pick-up truck going on the tracks in the first place. =)

@Will762 well, I'm not nerdy enough to crunch the numbers, but the truck was driving full speed into the train, it would be a lot more chaotic than the train hitting car that was driving perpendicular to it's track and more chaotic than a car that sat still. I agree with you though not sure if it's possible. As my buddy always says when weird things happen in movies/games " it's okay everyone, it was in the script!"
