I tried doing this in my 75 two weeks ago and I broke my new computer, ruined the carpet, and broke the tank. I also got stung at least 13 times by my lionfish and am still picking shards of glass from my scrotum. Last week I found my dried up eel behind the couch and it smells rancid. Overall I think it was a good bonding experience. Plan on doing it in my 10 gallon on friday.

Because we have been living with fish in a box for so long that we forget that they are ancient intelligent creatures who appreciate, understand and "enjoy" interaction. its not glass its quater inch lexan. it is sealed with caulk and hydraulic cement.
