  • I never really understood the phrase 'tears of joy' till I started listening to Elbow. There is no band better than them for crafting seemingly uncomplicated but beautiful songs delivered with a massive emotional punch and Guy's delivery of his lyrics is majestic

  • Thank you so much for sharing.Do you have the original video for their whole performance on this show cos the image of this is quite blurry. Thanks in advance.

  • pure music !!!

  • One of my fave songs by them. I truly connect with song..love it!

  • Doesn't time pass? Now they are almost the biggest band in Britatin - 2 almost sold out shows at the o2 in London coming up - that's 40,000 people!

Well deserved and they have the cop-on to cope with it all.

  • Think I actually prefer this to the album version

  • Amazing band! Guy is a huge talent :)!

  • @monnikamiha88 They all are! Sure Guy is amazing, but we got to give some credits to the rest of the band for creating that magical musical atmosphere surrounding the lyrics.

  • Even more beautiful live than on CD, i remember i saw them supporting muse in 2003 and was blown away then, but forgot about them untill recently, this song is so moving, utter musical genious.

  • Ah man I was gonna tell and I've totally forgot, all I can remember is they finished on Scattered Black and White. Being honest my mind was blown by then. Have a great time, I did.

  • won the brit award for best band 2008 and it was about time too.

  • up against some tough competition though with radiohead on the top of their game too. I think its on the up for british music again finally XD

  • Indeed. It's great they're finally getting the recignition they deserve.

  • RJD2 made a great remix of this. More somber, perhaps, but great nonetheless.

  • grounds for divorce is the best song they mode though lol

  • Better version than on the album. Garvey's voice on album is too low! It's their best instrument!

  • They are still criminally under-rated. One of the very best bands around today.

  • agreed

  • Do we really want them to go big time though? I want this band to stay pure!

  • What a great song. What a great band!

  • love it............nuff said

  • Please give us newbies some background about them!

  • no background needed my friend. just immerse yourself in the genius of it all. youtube "elbow live" and go from there.... pointers: switching off, station approach, powder blue and the ever there. off the new album; a track called "brambles". sheer, sheer, utter brilliance....

  • "brambles"??? I'm having trouble finding it.

  • my mistake. demo was called brambles. the finished album track is called "Some Riot". Tis mint.

  • your absolutely right, thanks!

  • One of the best bands to come out of England for years ... A cast of thousands is such a good album

  • Amazing band, icredible voice and the music is just unbelievable... Very emotional as well, they're even better live than on the albums!

  • grate live band

  • brilliant band!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is beautiful. :[)

  • I love this song.
