I just got back from Beijing, loved it out there and can't wait to go back later this year. I did notice that alot of the Huntong areas were being pulled down. Though there was in close to my hotel that had not been touched. I hope some manage to survive as Beijing is now a very modern city with very high level housing density. Walking around these Hutong areas was really peaceful and made a change from the busy very wide roads that are often full of cars.
Love the hutongs and people, nice job Mike is doing would love to learn mandarin chinesetoo. Hope you write another book.
