Just out of curiosity, did any P-40 actually take off to fight back during the raid on Pearl Harbour? How successful was the attack?

@looxgood a very low number of P-40 started to take off when the attack starts, but the zero, are some fastest and lightest than the P-40.... so.... the americans can´t do so much with the enemy attackers...

@zolli0807 @looxgood According to historical data, only 2 of them could take off, and brought down a few japanese aircraft. But don't get me wrong, it was a major failure for USA that day.

BTW nice vid, but where is the real story of what happened that same day? You make it look like a victory for USA. But there is no ships destroyed, we never see Pearl Harbor. And just in case you are wondering, I know what's possible in that game, and i can assure you that you can make it real.

@MOGWarHammer About 14 USAAF fighters engaged the Japanese during the attack on Pearl Harbor, and accounted for some 11 Japanese aircraft shot down. The video shows the P-40s of Lt. Welsh (4 kills) and Lt. Taylor (2 kills). They were at Haleiwa. A few Curtiss P-36s got up at Wheeler. Lts Rasmussen (1 kill), Sanders (1 kill), Stirling (1 kill), Brown (1 kill) and Thackery flew P-36s. An 11th probable was given to Lt John Dains. Rasmussen’s plane is in the Wright Patterson Museum.
