One of my cousins was in a house off 9th and Thurston, too. She said she was very frightened by it. She and her friends were in the basement. I'm thankful she didn't get get hurt.
No, we closed at 8:00 that night...I did work that day but everyone was long gone by that time. what's cool is that the place we would have been if it was during store hours was the only part of the building still standing....eery
A UPS for the computer mine makes the same sound when the power goes off and the battery is getting low UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) IE battery back up my power was out about 9 hours but i never lost computer power or internet i have one but mine will run for 18 hours on battery i hooked it up to a deep cycle boat battery 12V if your ups is 12 volt its not hard to do you can do it with the 24 volt units as well just need two 12 volt battery's

Man, I'm glad it didn't hit us. I was crouched down in a backyard cellar listening to it pass about 4 blocks to the east. That's as close as I would want to be.
Ya it was i even have it over by were i live at Royal Towers lucky for me only thing of my place that got damaged was my Dish network Sat dish... that has already been replaced some cars just behind me had some shattered windows as per the tornado went right over us...
I worked there!!!! Why did you only get video of the back of the store??? I was probably around the front that day!!
