This is stupid, makeup can't cover everything. It's not some powerful magic that ultimately changes a girls look only enhances. Yes some people go over board, but if you actually look at the girls face, you can tell what they naturally look like. Girls don't look completely different without makeup they just don't look as "perfect" or "enhanced". In my opinion with or without makeup guys shouldn't care because it's always the same person at heart, and isn't that what truly matters?
I don't think you should wear a face full of make up. But I like the way I look with make up. I don't wear too much, because once a guy sees you without it he'll be surprised. But they kind of sounded mean, well that a couple of them did. everyone isn't naturally pretty.

I would also like to include that the au naturale preference is complete BS. Majority of my male friends view the women with "natural looking" makeup as being much more attractive than no makeup at all.
Also, I think men sometimes also assume that just because you have something bold (like say red lipstick) that you're wearing a TON of makeup, when in actuality it could be the only thing you're wearing. yet its like "Good Lord she wears soooo much makeup!".....while the woman with foundation, false lashes, nude lipstick and natural eyeshadow is assumed to be wearing "less makeup".

I think mascara is the only makeup that all girls should wear. Like obviously, not excessively where it's all clumpy, but just enough for thicker longer more noticeable lashes!
A little lip gloss doesn't hurt either, again, not to a point where its goopy and sticky, but just enough for shiny-ness and pink (: who agree's with me?

Right! these are the guys that I would love to put in an experiment where they do not know they are being observed - place them in their "pick up" setting, and send in attractive women (based on a series of fb selections they have made), with little or no make up, and mediocre women (based on a series of selections they have made) with really good make up applied, but lots of it. See who they gravitate towards, flirt with, interact with. I think we all know the facts on that one.
@tygger281 That's an experiment to consider. For real, girls just look way sexier, artsier, alluring, like right out of a film that surmises the character she embodies or story she represents. I have heard this so many times and I have seen so many girls that truly wore no make-up and were passed over. I wondered if these guys really had a problem with make-up or if they just have a problem with TOO MUCH make-up. Can they really tell when a girl has make-up on or do they just think that the girls who wear it right don't wear any at all? I've tested it and confirmed my theory. I wear very little make-up in comparison and guys usually think that I am au natural.

I adore makeup. I wear it every day, and lots of it. It makes me feel beautiful, and confident, and i get alot of compliments. Without make up, I feel unfinished and sloppy. Just like anyone would comb their hair and put on a clean shirt before they leave the house, makeup is just as part of my daily routine as brushing my teeth. It's not about hiding who you are, but rather enhansing it. It's about taking pride in your appearance. Girls just wanna have fun.

I'm a (straight) guy and I completely agree. These guys don't know what they're talking about. Most guys think they don't want a girl with makeup, but often can't tell when a girl has any on. Literally, scientists have done studies and, time after time, men pick the same face with makeup on as being the more attractive one. Women who wear makeup all the time are insecure in how they look. Insecurity isn't just unattractive to women, ladies. Men don't want a girl constantly second guessing herself and using cosmetics that will destroy her facial features later in life, because most women do not use expensive makeup.

These guys aren't saying that make-up is horrible. All these people bashing them have to listen to what they're saying. They say a little bit is mostly fine. The stuff they mainly complained about was girls who put too much on, or wear certain stuff constantly even though it would look better for a special occasion.
You want to know how to snag a girl? You tell her she looks beautiful. Not hot or sexy. Cute will get you somewhere, but beautfiul does the job perfectly. I've never been called beautiful or even cute before. Some guys even called my ugly, and it really hurt. But this one guy (although he's a total flirt, but he's a classy flirt) said to me one day when I was fixing my make-up, "You're beautfiul, you don't need that." That made my month. I could not stop thinking about how sweet he was. :)
I can understand these guy's point of views because most women look *totally* different without make-up on. However, they need to realize that make-up is an art medium. When I wear any form of cosmetics, I do it for myself. There's days where I personally want to snag me a boyfriend, so I end up applying sultry make-up. There's days where I want to wear something crazy and dramatic, so I glue rhinestones to my eyelids. There's even days where I personally don't feel the need to wear mu.

It's not very hard but it does take about 20 minutes of your time and various products (foundation, concealer, powder, a bit of blush, bronzer, highlighter, neutral eye shadow, white and brown eye liner, mascara, lip stick, and lip gloss).

I think mascara is the only makeup that all girls should wear. Like obviously, not excessively where it's all clumpy, but just enough for thicker longer more noticeable lashes!
A little lip gloss doesn't hurt either, again, not to a point where its goopy and sticky, but just enough for shiny-ness and pink (: who agree's with me?

Right! these are the guys that I would love to put in an experiment where they do not know they are being observed - place them in their "pick up" setting, and send in attractive women (based on a series of fb selections they have made), with little or no make up, and mediocre women (based on a series of selections they have made) with really good make up applied, but lots of it. i'm a girl and i think that too much makeup looks horrible on any girl no matter how beautiful or ugly she is. i think foundation is disgusting, i myself would never wear it.. the only makeup i will wear is a touch of light natural looking powder to even out skintone and a touch of lipgloss to give the lips a natural red shade. thats all you really need .i wont wear eyemakeup because honestly i think the eyes look better natural rather than like raccoon eyes. I have heard this so many times and I have seen so many girls that truly wore no make-up and were passed over. I wondered if these guys really had a problem with make-up or if they just have a problem with TOO MUCH make-up. Can they really tell when a girl has make-up on or do they just think that the girls who wear it right don't wear any at all? I've tested it and confirmed my theory. I wear very little make-up in comparison and guys usually think that I am au natural.

I adore makeup. I wear it every day, and lots of it. It makes me feel beautiful, and confident, and i get alot of compliments. Without make up, I feel unfinished and sloppy. Just like anyone would comb their hair and put on a clean shirt before they leave the house, makeup is just as part of my daily routine as brushing my teeth. It's not about hiding who you are, but rather enhansing it. It's about taking pride in your appearance. Girls just wanna have fun.

If men could get away with the same privilege of wearing make-up then you can rest assured that they'd do it . Women aren't pressured into wearing make-up ... nobody is forcing them to wear it . Women who wear makeup all the time are insecure in how they look. Insecurity isn't just unattractive to women, ladies. Men don't want a girl constantly second guessing herself and using cosmetics that will destroy her facial features later in life, because most women do not use expensive makeup.

You want to know how to snag a girl? You tell her she looks beautiful. Not hot or sexy. Cute will get you somewhere, but beautfiul does the job perfectly. I've never been called beautiful or even cute before. Some guys even called my ugly, and it really hurt. I can understand these guy's point of views because most women look *totally* different without make-up on. However, they need to realize that make-up is an art medium. When I wear any form of cosmetics, I do it for myself. There's days where I personally want to snag me a boyfriend, so I end up applying sultry make-up. If guys were socially allowed to wear makeup and cover up those blemishes then you would.
And don't say absolute rubbish. Look at Megan Fox.. she wears alot of makeup but that doesn't stop her from being no.1 right?
Plus, applying makeup is just like any other skill. You can't rule out makeup just because there are a few girls and women that don't have a clue how to apply it

lol this is funny.. I think It depends also if you know how to apply make up well. and when to apply the right kind and amount of make up. Just imagine if make-up never happened, and girls would just look like boys. :))

I have a hard time believing this. Guys say they want girls to look "natural" but they mean they want the girl to wear a ton of makeup that makes her look like she isn't wearing any makeup.

@SuperAf23 That's exactly what they want, and that's actually what you have to do. It's not very hard but it does take about 20 minutes of your time and various products (foundation, concealer, powder, a bit of blush, bronzer, highlighter, neutral eye shadow, white and brown eye liner, mascara, lip stick, and lip gloss).

I am a 15 year old male.Quite possibly the most sex and beauty obsessed demographic there is.
I absolutely hate makeup. I think it's too much of a big deal, and I kid you not, I've BEGGED my ex's to eat like a normal human being AND wear no makeup at all, Not saying I enjoy ugly girls, Because I don't. Of course I have to be attracted to a female, But makeup isn't the answer. And how many times have I heard "I like a guy with a sense of humor! :D"
