You're a really good singer, that much I can tell. However, I just feel that this song is supposed to be sung all raspy. Your voice just isn't a good fit. I think if it were anything else, it'd sound amazing. I just can't get into, sorry :(

I've listened to a lot of "copycat" Janis music. Most were terrible. But this one almost sounded like Janis herself. IDK who you are, but I was as Monterrey back in '67. I was all of 12 years old at the time. You threw some soul into this song, like Janis. BRAVO! Well done. This is by far the best "copycat" version that I've ever heard anywhere or anytime. Whoever you are, please DON'T STOP. Both your version and Janis' stirs my soul to no end in ways that are too powerful to describe.

You should sing a bit of a softer song. You need a ruff kinda belted voice. You might be better at something like Taylor Swift or if you like stuff like this then hmmmm ... Some of the 80's B52's or something like such. Its good dont get me wrong but a bit of a softer song would probably suit you better you seem to be better at head voice.
