Anyone notice Halo 4 is also supposed to come out next year (or this year since im writing this 2 hours from 2012) in the holiday season? Possible chance it'll be one of the first games on the new 720? I would think so, Halo 1 was the first game on the original xbox. Halo 3 was also the first on the 360... I don't think that the Wii U will be Nintendo's "next generation" console. I mean yeah it is a new console but I think it's more of an upgrade. Think about it, Nintendo has always made a new name for their new console.

what happend with the current Gen is that Microsoft set the technological Limits of the multiplatform games and that worked very well at stopping the ps3 from getting a massive jump on titles and sales

who cares of the ps3 and xbox will be more powerful because the Wii U will be setting the Limit bar for the Majority of the Multiplatform market

because the 360 had such a head start it was already well rooted with its sales figues and it became the dominant system

Next xbox won't be out until around 2014, I read that the kinect is supposed to extend the lifespan of the current gen, i honestly don't believe there is a big enough gap in graphics from console to PC to buy a whole new console, i mean obviously the PC is lookin better but that goes without saying 6 years later

Its funny cause everything that Physical Warfare gives you is two attachments which you actually unlock anyways. They only gun you get is the T88. You also get a SKS Flash hider which decreases range, and Flechette rounds which decrease damage, so why are people complaining about them being "more powerful". Some people should do their research.
The power of the weapons and the skill of the player are irrelevant. The point is that they have content completed AT release that they aren't including with the rest of the game unless you pre-order or pay extra after. I think you completely missed the point here. Companies are chopping games up and selling you the parts instead of the whole package.

All they ended up with was an overpriced unprofitable console,crippling dev costs, inferior XBox ports. Are Sony going to go for a bleeding edge console again this gen? They'd be stupid to IMO, even more so as developer costs to return on actual quality next gen game graphics will be even worse this gen. Diminishing returns.
Next gen games are nearly all going mulitplat so the Wii U just needs to be powerful enough to keep getting ports while keeping its own exclusives.And lets not forget that funding does not always translate to better hardware,they all3have dedicated teams working on producing cutting edge next gen hardware,thePS2 had far more R&D funding and much more complicated architecture than aGamecube but after all the hype theGCN,only a year newer had50%betterCPU. We just cant know how things will end up.
We don't know what the Wii U's power will yet. It could be only 1.5x PS3 or it could be a significant improvement up to 6x PS3. It doesn't have to directly compete with the PS4 XBox 3 in raw power anyway just be enough of an improvement on the previous gen to be respectable and meet the minimum next gen standards of 1080p 60fps with AA and tessellation etc. Beyond that we'll pretty much be at a graphical plateau anyway PS4 will be hardpushed to push much better graphics.
Well if you dont have any preorder weapons, just shoot a random player ingame and you are bound to run into one of em you can pick up and use. Problem solved.
He is right. The guns you will get for preorder BF3 will not give you the upper hand if you still are a shitty player. Good Battlefield players will rank up fast and get the good weapons anyway. I've seen people play well with "shitty" guns on BFBC2. Everyone has his favourite weapon, that's it so there is nothing to complain about.

@dk0olis123 That's a rumour, but it's probably untrue. They will probably use the Cell again, but make there be 2 of them and make it easier to write games for. They will probably add a better GFX card as well, so it has better shading abilities, the PS3 was VERY difficult to work for, but if they make it easier to write games for a game like Call of Duty can look much better :)

Totally forgot about the Wii U. I didn't watch the whole vid. AMD is releasing Bulldozer (8 core CPU) is September. They're also expecting to have 10, 12, and 20 core CPUs on the new FM2 socket. Intel is releasing LGA 2011 (new enthusiast socket) later this year. Intel has an 8 core (16 threads) CPU in the works too. 47% better than the 990X (fastest CPU available). I'm not impressed. Bottom line, tech wise, Nintendo will be on the bottom again.
I'm considering boycotting BF3 for another reason: EA's f**king Origin. The EULA allows EA to scan your hard drive and basically send you ads. Not cool.
Back near the end of E3 someone said that the Wii U was 50% more powerful than the PS3, that was proven wrong sometime after this video was made when developers said that they were given undercloked dev. kits that only let them go up to that level of power. Since they were underclocked it means that the Wii U is actually much more powerful than that.
There is no way are we going to see an XBOX 720 in 2012. NO WAY! Microsoft already said we won't see their new console until 2013/2014. 2012 is still too early. Most people can still get another 2 or 3 years out of the 360 and aren't ready to spend another $400 to $500 for a new gaming system. I honestly hope they don't rush it out too quick. They should take their time on making it a 10 year console just the way Sony makes their console lifespan.
@FunnyMoneyDummy There can be change in plans or it could be a business plan to get PS4 out with some specs so they can improve the Xbox. But you're right it'll probably be released around 2013 or 2014, while Sony holds there PS4 till 2015/ 2016, that's what most likely happen. (aside the first sentence)

It doesn't have to directly compete with the PS4 XBox 3 in raw power anyway just be enough of an improvement on the previous gen to be respectable and meet the minimum next gen standards of 1080p 60fps with AA and tessellation etc. Beyond that we'll pretty much be at a graphical plateau anyway PS4 will be hardpushed to push much better graphics.

He is right. The guns you will get for preorder BF3 will not give you the upper hand if you still are a shitty player. Good Battlefield players will rank up fast and get the good weapons anyway. I've seen people play well with "shitty" guns on BFBC2. Everyone has his favourite weapon, that's it so there is nothing to complain about.

@dk0olis123 That's a rumour, but it's probably untrue. They will probably use the Cell again, but make there be 2 of them and make it easier to write games for. They will probably add a better GFX card as well, so it has better shading abilities, the PS3 was VERY difficult to work for, but if they make it easier to write games for a game like Call of Duty can look much better :)

Totally forgot about the Wii U. I didn't watch the whole vid. AMD is releasing Bulldozer (8 core CPU) is September. They're also expecting to have 10, 12, and 20 core CPUs on the new FM2 socket. Intel is releasing LGA 2011 (new enthusiast socket) later this year. Intel has an 8 core (16 threads) CPU in the works too. 47% better than the 990X (fastest CPU available). I'm not impressed. Bottom line, tech wise, Nintendo will be on the bottom again.

Back near the end of E3 someone said that the Wii U was 50% more powerful than the PS3, that was proven wrong sometime after this video was made when developers said that they were given undercloked dev. kits that only let them go up to that level of power. Since they were underclocked it means that the Wii U is actually much more powerful than that.

There is no way are we going to see an XBOX 720 in 2012. NO WAY! Microsoft already said we won't see their new console until 2013/2014. 2012 is still too early. Most people can still get another 2 or 3 years out of the 360 and aren't ready to spend another $400 to $500 for a new gaming system. I honestly hope they don't rush it out too quick. They should take their time on making it a 10 year console just the way Sony makes their console lifespan.
