I always wondered why indigenous people, both in North and South America, were/are so defenseless against diseases that are common among whites, blacks and Asians but their diseases don't seem to affect our immune systems nearly as much. I've never heard of mass deaths among whites after they came in contact with Native Americans while the opposite happened time and again. And still does in the amazon. Weird.
Part of it is that we have many more diseases. We can most definilty learn how to make machines that can not only control the atmosphere of the earth, but literally teraform a planet into a livable human-adaptable planet. Sorta like "spore", but more realistic. In reality, it may take a century (more) to do so.
It's possible, many succeeded in such a design element.

I always wondered why indigenous people, both in North and South America, were/are so defenseless against diseases that are common among whites, blacks and Asians but their diseases don't seem to affect our immune systems nearly as much. I've never heard of mass deaths among whites after they came in contact with Native Americans while the opposite happened time and again. And still does in the amazon. Weird.

Part of it is that we have many more diseases. They live in isolated areas and are exposed to a small number of diseases which they have resistances to, we live in a population where the diseases have spread across the entire globe, we have many more diseases to go around than they do, and some of the resistances we've built up also cover some of their diseases.
