I loved this show!

I already knew Defying Gravity was a rehash of Space Odyssey, but after seeing the first two episodes, and then this video, i think it's stolen everything from it...

Still, Anything on TV that gets people slightly interested in space, can't be a bad thing... And a remake of this programme, woohooo!

@AngryAnt0 Defying Gravity is not only a rehash, but an extremelly poor one; acting and the effects are also unimaginably better on this BBC miniseries...now consider that it's "just" a docufiction and 5 years older.

If you ask me, that series "Defying Gravity" is no more than a pointless rip-off of this great television film. Even the producers of the new series admitted that it was a rip-off.
