so to get good FPS on High- Very High setting u will need a 9800 GTX+ or more! i recommend the GTX 260! i have one and play this game 60+ fps with Ultra high!
i had to move the guy off the bottom of my screen and it took me like 4 shots. 1600m is now easy to get headshots at. just make a sniper with a m24 and leik 20 mags + m22s and ur set to get ur skill thru da roof

yeah but even though you cannot max the game on 1024*768!!!
the only cards that can max that game are the 8800 and the 9series and the 7950gx2 and of course the GTX series

8600gt is not good for arma (Normal) it is wonderful for all the other games for example see my crysis vid it is nearly high:).
