I flew the deHavilland Beaver for 8 years and I would say that was an excellent take-off. Fullotus are draggy floats but you held the sweet spot perfect. Any different and you may have dragged them. The 801 can rotate like nobodies business but those big flat floats keep it from happening. Keep trying and hopefully prove me wrong.
how would compare the zenith to a 180 on/floats...... buddy has a suped-up 180 and is training me, he thinks I need a 170B to learn on. But for the same cost a zenith seems like a better choice...for AK flying. Is the zenith built for AK bush work?

@mrsmelzbad i would think the 801 has a great bush design in mind. it is definately no built for airport flying.

I flew the Dehavilland Beaver for 8 years and I would call that an excellent takeoff. For draggy floats like that you did it perfect in my view.
