@xUSxARMYxHOOAHx With no internal skeletons, arthropods do not need any specific lighting. I would suggest no lighting at all, but a heat source on one end of the enclosure will ensure a longer, healthier life for your scorpion. There should be a hot spot of 85-90 F and then taper down to no less than 70 F on the other end of the enclosure. This allows the scorpion to regulate it's body temperature.
this is really cool i have 1 baby scorpion, um a buck or something scorpion cuz i live in arizona so the buck scorpion is the most poisoness scorions in arizona and its dangerous to have what i have and ive only been stung by a buck 1nce but luckily i didnt have a mucel spacem, my toe was just paralized and it hurt like hell
I really don't get why people get these killer insects?! Why would you want one? I was in the pet shop the other day and I saw a tarantula! How gross that people would actually buy one!!!
@MsWillowy Well Ms Willowy, first of all, these are arachnids not insects. Cats and dogs are mammals, very similar to humans. The argument that people who keep cats and dogs do so to suppress their desire to keep slaves. Arachnids are extremely complex in appearance, exponentially more intriguing than a dog, and truly beautiful in design. They have been unchanged in hundreds of millions of years, which means they have reached evolutionary perfection. When you look at them, you are looking at ...
@MsWillowy You are just regurgitating society's over barring brain wash that is forced upon everyone, primarily women. What's really disgusting is that most people, you included, may never know what they really think about things. Look past every experience that is pounding these opinions into your head. "Disgusting" is a meaningless, empty word. It is the sum of all of the brainwashing conducted by media and propaganda. Try to free your mind to repressed beauty that is shielded from view.
@MsWillowy ... the dominant, most developed species on the planet. There are more separate species of arthropod on the planet than people. So, in conclusion arachnids, insects, and crustaceans are some of the most beautiful, evolved, intriguing creatures on the planet. Endless fascination is encountered while observing them.
when they get bigger you should buy feeding tongs they range from 8 - 13$ and i bought one for my snake you could use it for crickets to small mammals so the crickets would jump around and your scorpion can eat well.
@tallfishman100 , of course u can give them mealworms.. :) it make them more easy to eat.. put the mealworms in small short cup.. the mealworms cant moving.. make them easier.. just give small mealworms.. :D
Hey, My emperor is about 3 inchs and I fed him a big cricket today, I gave it to him, and he has been eating it for about an hour and its almost gone but do you know why he is eating it so slow?
Looks a bit dry for a Pandinus sp. I would soak down half the enclosure. They won't drink from the water crystals.I use a water dish filled with aquarium gravel, that way you wont have a problem with them drowning in the dish.Nice Vid.
