Those who are paranoid (certifiably it seems) about socialism and this president A) don't actually understand what socialism is about B) are apparently pleased to see thousands of people lose their homes, millions without insurance (which, btw, drives up the cost of medical care for everyone), corporations determining our existence.
We had this just before the Great Depression - unchecked capitalism. Greed run wild. The destruction of what is good about our country.
Really? What do you call him trying to make everyone make the same amount of money? Universal health care? And so many more things on his socialist agenda?
I believe you are a bit confused about what our president is actually trying to accomplish. Same amount of money? Where do you get that? Universal health care? That would be great. Make us finally catch up with the rest of the world in caring for those who can't afford health care.
He says that the government should equalize what people are making, meaning they would be putting their hands into business matters, where they don't belong.
You voted for this man, yet you have no idea what he's doing? Let me guess the sole reason you voted for Obama is due to your skin color am I correct?
Not even close. I voted for him because he was and is one of the most inspiring presidential candidates I have ever seen, someone who is helping to restore the credibility we lost under the most disastrous president in our history.
The fact that Obama could get elected despite people like you who are apparently obsessed with skin color is what makes this country great. Apparently you don't agree.
@Demo9237 Well, the country survived Bush, and it will survive Obama. How much worse it will be after him is another story. Sorry those who think it will be better, I don't. The guy is hypocrite: he carries around squad if armed people, yet fights again people's rights for armed self defense. The offense on freedoms starts from small: not treating the rights of others as the same as one's own rights.
@NehpetsK57 Why do you assume that jhubers voted for him because of the color of his skin? is it necessary to resort to his race to defend your argument?
@hansonct Do you have any idea the percentage of African Americans that voted for Obama? 95% of African Americans voted for him. You would be lying if you said none of those votes were earned without race in mind.
america can take little bit of socialism right now dude, 45 million people without health care, some americans go to cuba for treatment, how sad is that?
haha yeah right. A "little bit" I think that is how every government has conned their people. Give them a "little bit" then a "little bit" more and so on and so forth. You can't just have a "little bit".
You are right but what should they do, America has very high level bureaucracy working, the gov is working for lobbyists and bureaucrats, not for the needy of the nation or the poor. What to do with health care cost which is so high? What about the high difference between the salaries for the high end and low end? Dont just blame others, U.S has problem too.
A mix of socialism and democracy is the best system. Democralism or uh, Socialocracy.
Anyways, Obama has done OK so far, but he really hasn't done anything that has dramatically "changed" us, as he promised. Anyone can be inspiring, but a real leader gets the job done, the first time and every time.
@Demo9237 It's soooooooooo easy to say nonsenses like yours ! Try to walk on his marks, I'm pretty sure you'll get lost in 10 minutes. Have you ever faced the responsibility of a group ? I did. And you can do what you want, if the majority of the group don't want to change a stupid habit, they make fall all of them who could have made a difference by their engagement. That's a confusian like truth.
well there is another 30 million getting free healthcare from the 200 million that can afford it, so if they can pay for healthcare in cuba, let them go get it
a government that is not thinking about the poor is a bureaucracy, not democracy. Get it?? You have put something in your brain that says helping the poor and speaking against corporations is socialism, until you understand the situation you wont be able to understand what it is. Every Child born in this world deserves the same kind of health care treatment; they cant be turned away because their parents are not wealthy enough.
vote for change again...lol

It doesn't matter how "inspiring" someone is, if they don't get the fucking job done, then it doesn't matter how fucking inspiring they are.
Bush was not the most disastrous president in history, not even close. Take a look at history and do some research.
