  • self exams ftw!!

  • LMAO you damn turkey what do YOU know about self exams?!

  • You seriously DO NOT WANT TO KNOW..

  • I'm going to get a mammogram. Or at least touch my boobs more often. Seriously, though. Nice PSA.

  • Every day is Friday hat day in my little world.

  • Lemonette, you are an awesome woman. Keep them coming.

  • I cant believe I missed this!

Great message and you do look Maaarrrvelous in that hat;)

  • It's alright, you probably just didn't recognize me at first in the hat! :)

  • KUDOS to you Lemonette!

  • your job lemonette is to worrie about if they Know Our God Jesus Christ and that they know where they are going, It dont matter if they have hair or not , God Loves you the way you are.. My prayers are with you

  • You are incredible!

  • Terrific video! One lady in my office is just recovering from breast cancer because she did get a mammogram and took immediate action. I am recovering from uterine cancer because I also too immediate action. We are both in our early 50s! If you are diagnosed, get it taken care of! Prevention is the key! Right on, Lemonette!

P.S. You look adorable in that hat!!

  • you are sweet! it is so scary how prevelant breast cancer has become. I think you guys have the right idea. xoxo

  • i get checked every year & i do self exams every month. my aunt got breast cancer in 1999 when i was 13 & i've been doing it since. i know i'm young, but cancer knows no age limit

  • Great advice Miss Lemonette!

  • I lost both my dad and oldest brother to cancer the summer of 04. I appreciate anyone who does something to call awareness for any sort of cancer. Men need to have yearly prostate checks too. Important message Lemonette!

  • A Brilliant idea. In hot countries, we should wear hats more often anyway as the other cancer, skin cancer, hits our faces. I'm naked without my Fedora. A mammogram saves lives. God Bless You +++ The Saint +++

  • That is sweet! I lost my mom to cancer, and she was very self conscous about losing her hair. I have a cousin that had hair all one length down to the middle of his back and was NEVER gonna cut it! He told her when she lost her hair he would shave his head to make her feel better. and it did. i think its great what ya'll are doing.

  • Great reminder Lemonette...Ill cal tomorrow for an appt. {{{HUGS}}}

  • thanks lemonette! breast cancer has touched my family too. exams are important! thanks for reminding us and being such a friend to tha ladise in your office

  • hehehehehe I want a popsicle :P

  • The hat looks cool, but the reason for wearing it is even cooler. At my job we had 4 women in one year diagnosed, fortunately 3 are in remission. My dearest friend had the cancer spread to her spine so there can be no operation, however she is the most fullof life person I ever met! Thanks for putting this up, I'm ging for my mammo and pap smear tomorrow (and no I dont like them). You are beautiful!

  • I think thats absolutely commendable for you guys to do that, what a fantastic thing :) xxxx

  • Great idea and great video, you're a great friend too!

  • I have a friend who went through this. She never wore a wig. She just let her bald (sometimes fuzzy) head hang out or wore a scarf on her head. She refuses to wear her heavy prosthetic boob too. So she is lopsided. She doesn't care and I respect her for that...Syd

  • She sounds a wonderful woman, well worth having as a friend!

  • My grandmother died fo breast/bone cancer and my grandfather lung cancer.. I do very much support this message! :) Thank you!

  • What a great idea - Friday hat day!! I think it's age... we get older and can suddenly get along in an office or anywhere with women without all the cattiness. :D

  • I think having Friday Hat days was a wonderful thing to do.. Great vlog hunnies.

  • yay popsicles for everyone!

  • great video.

    and Go Vols!! ;)

  • Wonderful advice Lemonette. Hope everyone listens and does it. A lot of people have the "it won't happen to me" syndrome, but it can. Early detection is important in beating breast or other forms of cancer.

  • aw thats so sweet, yea there was quite a few women that I knew that had breast cancer. I hope they find a cure soon though.

  • Oh thank you so much for this very spiritual yet practical reminder...an uplifting message for sure!

    Hugs, S.

  • What a sweet and caring video Lemonette- You have such a genuinely good way about you, I just love your videos

  • Wow, that's awsome! Hope your friends get better soon!

  • I Just Luv You Lemonette! Keep um coming! :)Angela

  • I can not tell you how important it is to do a self-exam ...and this is not just for women... I have meet MEN who get breast cancer as well.Check your body...please!

  • Great vlog & a very important message.

I like that idea of showing solidarity with your fellow workers & declaring Friday hat day :)

  • Oh, STD Testing every 6 months folks! Active or not! You heard me and Lemmy!

  • My mother had cancer down yonder, and she had to have all her woman stuff removed. That was scary times. I am so glad to see your supportive and stuff, I knew that already, but I like to watch. :)

  • I love the idea of supportive 'hat day'. I bet working in your office would be a blast! I guess I can assume some of those lemons were smooshed flatter a pancake between two sheets of metal? ♥

  • Having no hair would be a dignity thing.

  • Lemonette, you are a peach!

  • You are such a kind and caring person. People should be more like you...=)

  • That's great that your whole office is having the hat day for those two ladies. Happy Friday Lemonette! -Jim

  • lemonette, you are so sweet...i work with a bunch of women to and they drive me nuts but i love them.

  • I know it's not much but for quite a while now the ONLY stamps I use are Breast Cancer stamps. I have a Mom and three sisters.

    Thank you Lemonette. :)

  • you have a nice hat face, lemonette :)

  • Hat Day is cool. It probably helps the 2 women in the office feel nice to see all that support.

  • You, madame, are an awesome human being!

  • i so totally want to see u jump out of my screen. :)

  • Lanette, sweet Lemonlanette, you are a people person and people come in two sexes, multiple colors and various sexual preferences. It's rare, but best, when people can get along with people, period. You can and, for the most part, I can too. I consider it a gift and I'm sure you do also. Not many people have the gift anymore. There used to be a lot more of us before things got crazy. Peace dear. Come to Texas and Two Step with me.

  • If I ever get anywhere near you, I owe you a great big hug, my friend. Where has all the music been?

  • thanks lemonette

  • Good day to do a self exam is on the number of your birthday. Like if your bd is on the 12th, do it on the 12th every month. Men need to do self exams too because they can get breast cancer too.

  • Nice job! You got the very important information out there and were your entertaining self, as well.

  • You are a sweetie Lemonette!

  • Thanks for making this video, Lanette. My mom is a 2+ year survivor of breast cancer. I love the "hat day" theme you've adopted at your office. ;) -Doug

  • Thank you, sweetie, you have a heart of gold. My best friend just had a double mastectomy and do you know that the insurance co.'s make them leave the very next day!!??

That needs to be changed. Love you!

    Joanie

  • Are you wearing your southtube shirt? Kinda looks like it. There are self-exam tutorials for both men and women on YouTube. This of course can't replace a doctor's examination, but it's a start. GO LEMON SQUEEZERS GO!

  • I've decided to call us, your fans, Lemon Squeezers :)

  • Great Idea!!!!! ;0)

    Roberta

  • Do i get a lollipop for going to the dentist?

  • I think that you have very valid points. It has always been my understanding that cancer cells were formed from overstimulation? Somebody correct me if I'm wrong. Too much of anything, meds, lotions, food and drink, cosmetics, all of these things are possible sources, as well as your own body processes.

  • Love you!!! Give me a popsickle cuz I just did a self exam!!!! Could not stand it! (Had a benign scare a few years ago)

  • I hope this gets featured as it carries an important message. Probably won't though =| x

  • That is such a neat thing ya'll did with the hats, Thanks for making this video I lost my sister to this nasty disease in Dec 05' will be walking in her name on the 20th (which was her birthday)

  • {{{{Hugs from Aunt Evelyn's stand in}}}}

I love you Huey, I am so sorry to hear about your sister. There are people in our office who will be walking this year, too.

  • Aunt Evelyn stand in lol... True it is.. Love you too. Actually you and her would have been hell on wheels!

  • Auntie lemonette,

i agree all women should have regular mammograms... the sooner you discover something like that, the better off your chances of recover!!

  • In the UK mammograms are only offerred to women between the ages of 50 and 70. With the increasing numbers of women diagnosed with breast cancer I think it would save money and more importantly lives to lower that figure to at least 45. Thank you for this vlog Lemonette. You put your point across so well.

    Penny x

  • All the more reason to do the self exam. Do they educate people about that in the UK? I hope so.

  • Yes , they do teach self exam, but not nearly as much as they ought to.

    Penny x

  • I'm jealous...I want a mighty Thor hat.

  • You would NOT believe what I had to do for it!!! hehe

  • I got a buzz cut while my dad was on chemo and his hair was falling out. I dont have any mamo's to gram, can I still have a popsicle?

  • Woo hoo for hat day! it looks smashing on you! Luv Yuns!

  • Three years ago the mom of my daughter's best friend passed away from cancer. Six months after she was diagnosed she died. The cap I usually wear outdoors (sorry Nalts) is a pink Green Bay Packers cap that Deanna Favre's Hope Foundation carries.

  • 14 years ago today my wonderful grandmother died of cancer. It started in her breast. I miss her alot!

  • Lanette, I had my mammogram on Monday, so you don't have to get up! It was my 28th. Just so you know. - roc

    PS Where is my popsicle?

  • 2 years ago we lost a dearest friend - only 46 - from this dread disease. Thank you for calling attention to it!

  • As a baseball cap nut, I want that hat, I have loads to share and looking for one for TJ.

James xx A hat for a sub by the lovely Lemmonette and subscribe to Beth now also thanks to you.

Us guys need to check regularily too and nothing rude in that. xx

  • I should have made mention of that, you are absolutely right about the men needing to check themselves as well. Thanks for noticing!

  • Thinks thats first reply from you, cheers xx

Still want that hat, can't get enough, think I have one on in some of vids.

  • A friend of mine had to have surgery and lost her hair ... so a group of us in the office where we worked had our hair cut off in support. Great idea for hat day! I have been getting my mammograms yearly since age 35.

  • Last year my cousin-dentist in OR--had a lady in his office who had bc, when she lost her hair -- he shaved his head---they grew out together---****so sweet*** brought a tear to my eye! "Don't make me get up"--luvd that--say it:)

  • A man in my company had a season with cancer and his sons and some of the guys in the office decided to go bald to be one of the guys. A wonderful way for them to show their comraderie and how much they care about this guy. I love your hat day idea! God Bless you!

  • Thanks for this one Lemonette! I believe that a lot of girls my age think that this will never happen to them but the truth is that it is increasing!!! Thanks again for this!! Love you!!!

  • Great video... 5/5

  • My Mom had a totally mascestomy 5 years ago and when she was going through chemo she was so upset to lose her hair. So when she started her and I shaved our heads. It made her feel more normal. She has been cancer free sense. And all hair has grown back.

Thanks for posting this! It meant a lot!

  • I think if I lost all my hair I wouldn't do the wig thing but maybe more the turban thing.

  • thats kinda funny...lemonette reminded me to grope myself today....

  • thank you for reminding me to squeeze my lemons today. Excellent video. Very touching.

  • I have a self exam chart that hangs from my shower head- it shows the right way to do it and explains what you are feeling for. My physician gave it to me. I am only 25, but its never tooo early to pay attention to your health. Great video Lemonette!!!

  • Love ya Lemonette!! Hat day sounds like a cool idea!! Wonder if they'd adopt it at my work!!

  • you look great in your hat Lemonette
