I've just started watching all your vids and you know what?? You are just the CUTEST damn lady...I just love you! I've been a watcher for a while and have just started vid responsing, but you are just too sweet for words! I'd love to have a bud like you...your friends are lucky! Have a great night, Lemonette! =D
your job lemonette is to worrie about if they Know Our God Jesus Christ and that they know where they are going, It dont matter if they have hair or not , God Loves you the way you are.. My prayers are with you
Terrific video! One lady in my office is just recovering from breast cancer because she did get a mammogram and took immediate action. I am recovering from uterine cancer because I also too immediate action. We are both in our early 50s! If you are diagnosed, get it taken care of! Prevention is the key! Right on, Lemonette!
i get checked every year & i do self exams every month. my aunt got breast cancer in 1999 when i was 13 & i've been doing it since. i know i'm young, but cancer knows no age limit
I lost both my dad and oldest brother to cancer the summer of 04. I appreciate anyone who does something to call awareness for any sort of cancer. Men need to have yearly prostate checks too. Important message Lemonette!
A Brilliant idea. In hot countries, we should wear hats more often anyway as the other cancer, skin cancer, hits our faces. I'm naked without my Fedora. A mammogram saves lives. God Bless You +++ The Saint +++
That is sweet! I lost my mom to cancer, and she was very self conscous about losing her hair. I have a cousin that had hair all one length down to the middle of his back and was NEVER gonna cut it! He told her when she lost her hair he would shave his head to make her feel better. and it did. i think its great what ya'll are doing.
thanks lemonette! breast cancer has touched my family too. exams are important! thanks for reminding us and being such a friend to tha ladise in your office
The hat looks cool, but the reason for wearing it is even cooler. At my job we had 4 women in one year diagnosed, fortunately 3 are in remission. My dearest friend had the cancer spread to her spine so there can be no operation, however she is the most fullof life person I ever met! Thanks for putting this up, I'm ging for my mammo and pap smear tomorrow (and no I dont like them). You are beautiful!
I have a friend who went through this. She never wore a wig. She just let her bald (sometimes fuzzy) head hang out or wore a scarf on her head. She refuses to wear her heavy prosthetic boob too. So she is lopsided. She doesn't care and I respect her for that...Syd
What a great idea - Friday hat day!! I think it's age... we get older and can suddenly get along in an office or anywhere with women without all the cattiness. :D
Wonderful advice Lemonette. Hope everyone listens and does it. A lot of people have the "it won't happen to me" syndrome, but it can. Early detection is important in beating breast or other forms of cancer.
I can not tell you how important it is to do a self-exam ...and this is not just for women... I have meet MEN who get breast cancer as well.Check your body...please!
My mother had cancer down yonder, and she had to have all her woman stuff removed. That was scary times. I am so glad to see your supportive and stuff, I knew that already, but I like to watch. :)
I love the idea of supportive 'hat day'. I bet working in your office would be a blast! I guess I can assume some of those lemons were smooshed flatter a pancake between two sheets of metal? ♥
Lanette, sweet Lemonlanette, you are a people person and people come in two sexes, multiple colors and various sexual preferences. It's rare, but best, when people can get along with people, period. You can and, for the most part, I can too. I consider it a gift and I'm sure you do also. Not many people have the gift anymore. There used to be a lot more of us before things got crazy. Peace dear. Come to Texas and Two Step with me.
Good day to do a self exam is on the number of your birthday. Like if your bd is on the 12th, do it on the 12th every month. Men need to do self exams too because they can get breast cancer too.
Thanks for making this video, Lanette. My mom is a 2+ year survivor of breast cancer. I love the "hat day" theme you've adopted at your office. ;) -Doug
Thank you, sweetie, you have a heart of gold. My best friend just had a double mastectomy and do you know that the insurance co.'s make them leave the very next day!!??
Are you wearing your southtube shirt? Kinda looks like it. There are self-exam tutorials for both men and women on YouTube. This of course can't replace a doctor's examination, but it's a start. GO LEMON SQUEEZERS GO!
I think that you have very valid points. It has always been my understanding that cancer cells were formed from overstimulation? Somebody correct me if I'm wrong. Too much of anything, meds, lotions, food and drink, cosmetics, all of these things are possible sources, as well as your own body processes.
That is such a neat thing ya'll did with the hats, Thanks for making this video I lost my sister to this nasty disease in Dec 05' will be walking in her name on the 20th (which was her birthday)
In the UK mammograms are only offerred to women between the ages of 50 and 70. With the increasing numbers of women diagnosed with breast cancer I think it would save money and more importantly lives to lower that figure to at least 45. Thank you for this vlog Lemonette. You put your point across so well.
Three years ago the mom of my daughter's best friend passed away from cancer. Six months after she was diagnosed she died. The cap I usually wear outdoors (sorry Nalts) is a pink Green Bay Packers cap that Deanna Favre's Hope Foundation carries.
my grandmother recently pasted away from breast cancer, she was 87,and beautiful. my mom had cancer, and now my aunt, is going through this. thank you for this vlog.

A friend of mine had to have surgery and lost her hair ... so a group of us in the office where we worked had our hair cut off in support. Great idea for hat day! I have been getting my mammograms yearly since age 35.
Last year my cousin-dentist in OR--had a lady in his office who had bc, when she lost her hair -- he shaved his head---they grew out together---****so sweet*** brought a tear to my eye! "Don't make me get up"--luvd that--say it:)
