However most of the time there is an alienation between representatives and the class they wish to represent. The question is how far does this alienation go. If you're a representative who has a lot of contact with your electors, than you're less likely to get alienated from them. Purely ideological minded representatives won't do this as much though

@ObamaIsAMarxistTowel If people commit crimes then throw their ass in jail, but after they're locked up ask yourself if you could have prevented the crimes somehow, then weigh if it's worth the actions needed to prevent them. Muslims committing crimes should be locked up, but hostilities and policies that drive them, in part, to commit crimes should be stopped or minimized. Just look at America in the middle east...you think that helps Muslim-Cristian/White-Arab relations?

If you look at polls you'll quickly see that many, MANY people (including the Tea Party on the right) blame both Demonrats and Rupuglicans for the banking crisis, but they blame the banks most of all. About the USSR, I personally think it collapsed on it's own because it was built on shaky ground, and I HIGHLY doubt the gipper had much to do with the collapse.
