This man is beyond genius. I still got on video where he did that 'magic trick' with the bucket, a banana and an orange. I broke my ribs laughing still do. It takes a special kind of comedic genius to be funny at not being funny let me tell you very few peeps can do it.
This man can. I'd love to see him live only I fear I'd be carted off to hospital in agonisied hysterics
@johnlfitzpatrick123 I'm afraid I haven't sir, only on video SOMEWHERE in our garage with all my other VHS tapes. But if I ever do find it online anywhere, I'll post that bad boy!
I was in the audience when he performed that on the James whale show in '91 another charachter who performed on stage that evening who was very entertaining was Brian the singing miner.it was good to see this again, thank you

He's uselss. He can't keep in his character and is dying to laugh through parts of it, which he covers up by pretending to laugh. Pretending to be mentally ill isn't funny
Love it, love it. Charlie is a great bloke, I've met him at a gig in Bury, Manchester, really, really genuine guy. go to charliechuckslaughterlounge for more stuff. EHHHHHHHHHH????????????
I was once in the audience when he was on the James Whale show on ITV. The studio was in Carnaby Street and he was
just so damn hilarious. He was Charlie Chuck all the way through even when the camera's were off him. And I have to reveal that the hair on his head seemed to be all his own. (I don't mean he bought it with his own money) Lol! ;-)
Haha, I remember seeing this when it was on James Whale show!
Do you have a clip of the cakeshop story, "I want a donut, a cream bun and a slice of cake......from over there!" (or something like that, repeat Ad Nauseum)? It's stuck in my head all these years and only me and my mate Damo remember it! I think it was James Whale too!
charlie's gr8, there's nothing 2 be scared of.......... ey!?.. no, i'm makin comment on youtube!...... EDIE?.... go awaaay!... i don't want home insurance!... tap tap!... where was i, oh yeh gr8!
He used to scare me shitless whenever he came on and it was like watching car crash TV through your finger. He always seem so on the edge and if he was about to flip and kill someone any minuite and I remember him having to be led off a few times and once by Michaela Strachan, of all people! LOL
he was Uncle Peter on The Smell of Reeves and Mortimer, "I want to be in neutral but i am not in my car, well fetch me car in here, and i'll fetch it out of gear"
I don't, sorry... it was just a very brief clip on one of those Channel 4 programmes like.. 'the 100 best cop shows' with smart arse comments by Stuart Maconie and various celebs.
I was very surprised to see a young CC being chased in an industrial unit and then cornered by a large shed. It might not even been The Sweeney but it was definitely one of those 70's British cop dramas!
@JRHipkin It isn't actually him, though yes - the actor does have a look of him. But it's actually DUDLEY SUTTON in that ep of The Sweeney - just checked on my dvd.
This guy is creepy, shit and not funny in the least. I hated seeing him on James Whale show. A child could come up with clever stuff. Why is he on telly? No anymore thank fuck.
i used to watch james whale just 4 charlie chuck ! anyone got video of vitamin z playing on james whale they could upload? or the guy dressed as a train spotter who loved metallica? i saw him on the catherine tate show a couple of months ago as "nan's carers" .... anyone?
Indeed mate, it was a crackin show full of variety. Don't know if you ever saw that copycat show that tried to fill it's boots called "Funky Bunker" on friday nights which was hosted by Craig Charles of Red Dwarf fame, that was made by the same people who produced the James Whale show but was crap basically. I think it was summat like Mike Mansfield productions. It wasn't on for long lol bring back the James Whale show!
LMFAO hilarious. I used to watch this guy every friday night on The James Wale show on ITV1 and used to tape all his appearances. Still cracks me up even now. Brilliant. More
