  • Holy shit if kids heard this song they would give rock a chance... Sad

  • Not only was this song based on a newspaper article but Eddie Vedder's own childhood experiences. He witnessed a school shooting at Oak Crest Jr High, Encinitas CA cerca 1977 at the Oceanography building towards the South East end of the campus. Encinitas was known as Qualude City at the time.

  • wicked...

  • this is not the first video of pearl jams jeremy

  • i felt like that before, not anymore, i killed , i killed someone, he is gone and won't be back , im breathing and he is not. life is beautiful

  • it Jeremy's Day Tomorrow xx

  • i love the evil look in Eddie's eyes in this video

  • this song is about jeremy kyle

  • wow this is grunge i remember

  • this version is more moving then the version they show on tv and on VEVO

  • Finally, the uncut version!

  • what is this song/video about?

I feel stupid for not understanding since everyone seems to know

  • @Talkerwolf12

It's about a kid named Jeremy that's bullied to the point of shooting himself in class to escape all the pain caused by his classmates and parents. "Jeremy spoke in class today" refers to something he says before he kills himself.

  • @Talkerwolf12 It's about Jeremy Wade Dell who shot himself infront of his class in Texas (Google it). He was sent the headmaster's class for a "late-note".... he returned to the class and announced, "I got what i really went for." He then put a revolver in his mouth and blew his head off.

  • I wish he had put the gun in the teacher's face.

    thas how feel.

  • I live near where this actually happened. The video shows the classroom as "out of the ordinary." however, it was your average classroom that most kids see every single day. Sad ending for him, rest in peace Jeremy

  • In my English class we watched this to look for symbolism and I'm glad my teacher showed me this. Not only is it a good song, but it has a powerful meaning.

  • Are they Nazi americans? It sure looks like it.

  • UNA OBRA MAESTRA INSPIRADA EN UNA TRAGEDIA

A MASTERPIECE INSPIRED BY A TRAGEDY

  • @55centerstage, man u need to read things more clearly before u comment. The dude never said he shot his classmates, he said people thought he shot his classmates because of the revised video and that we all know he shot himself. And the other guy clearly said the video "reminds" him of Colombine, he didn't say it was "about" Colombine. There is a difference......

  • on the original video one black boy are nazi?

  • This is one video, you can't just ignore...poor Jeremy...

  • This song has always been horrifically mesmerizing to me. The lyrics and the video have such a powerful message. One of my all time favorites.

  • damn this song is so genious man, i dont ever see another master piece like this one coming out in the next 30 years. every time i listen to this song i just want to go back in time and give jeremy a fucken hug or at least hang out with him

  • The acttor (Trevor Wilson) Looks ALOT like the REAL Jeremy, look it up

  • This video reminds me of the day I saw what was unfolding at Colombine on the news all those years ago...

I can relate to this song. When you're different from the majority of your peers, you can become the target of unwanted attention...Doesn't help when you feel you have no support at home either.

Pearl Jam captured all this emotions perfectly with this song/video.

  • originally a revised ending would only be shown, which shoulda never happened. people thought he shot his classmates instead of himself, which is what (as we all know) really happened. read an interesting comment from a former classmate of his saying he felt he did it in english class 'cause it was the one place he felt acceptance, even if it was a horrifying exp. for others. rest on brother jeremy

  • @templedown no he didnt shoot classmates this is not about colombine. this is about a kid who shot himself in front of his class i think in texas in the early nineties .also when eddie was in high school some kid shot up a room in the school so it was a mix between them both if you actually want to know the real stroy. you can look it up and read about it for yourself the kids name was jeremy wade delle

  • amen dancing

  • this must have been back when MTV actually broadcasted MUSIC not 16 and pregnant -.-

  • never saw the original version of the video, never saw the scene of the gun in the mouth, they banned it here in Italy

  • @haesdahut They censored it in America too.

  • Eh I agree the audio isn't that great. Barely understood what he said but this is a good song. Very depression and it creeped me out when all the kids were frozen pointing and laughing at the kid. o__0

  • What the hell is with this audio....bro you should delete this!!!!!!!!!

  • @macanicable Go shut the heck up! I don't hear the difference jerk! You just hate Pearl Jam jerk. Go shut up.

  • I went thru same as Jeremy. I hated 7th grade back in 1991. I wish he had been stronger to see that mean people suck and hes wonderful . R.l.P. Jeremy Wade Delle.

  • i wish someone couldve been his friend...but then we wouldnt have this great song

  • @PJRProductionzzz im sure the value of this boys life clearly overpowers the value of a song, even as great as this one. im sure even pearl jam would say the same.

  • @SuperAzkel

I disagree with you there. Jeremy will not reach as many people as this song. Some of the people who hear this song will look up Jeremy Wade Delle and some won't. But that's if you base value on impact. I'm not one who just buys into the common conception that all human lives are valuable. If any at all.

  • this video is still very much relevant to this day

  • We all have felt like Jeremy standing in front of a fire like that at least once in our lives.

  • this video is so powerful

  • @acdcMacca I have to agree. It says so much about todays youth.

  • u_u,

  • so sad

  • awesome music video. Right now i'm very sad, because in my country the people is totally crazy. I don't know what the fuck is happening with the kids...... they need help, they need to be kids, and then adults, but know the people is making them adults when they don't have the age.

WE MUST listen our kinds ...our future.

    Cheers from Chile, southamerica!

  • Holy fuck, I've been trying to find this version of the video for a while. Thanks for uploading! One of the best music videos ever.

  • he uplode it on my b-day

  • ya know? all these yrs later. my son at 12 was really affected by this video. i do dig freedom and all. but, i wonder! ya know? i just wonder?

  • This song is so deep !
