Hey man I don't even do approaches myself but I think you need to come across as a bit more strong. Like more power in your voice. Alot of the time you'll seem like a pushover and girls will just walk away and ignore you. If you talked louder and in a more authoritative tone you would get more respect. You also need to make your physical presence known (like blocking a girls pathway. You always just let them walk away)
