@Shldssoccer42 I was about 165-170 when I started... Depends on what I ate. After I got done I was around 145. If you're trying to gain weight, then I would recommend to lift really heavy weights (about 8 reps). And eat a lot, but good healthy calories. Good luck!

@TheHardTruth313 I think you should do the classic... Classic and double is almost the same except with double you do extra cardio in the morning in the 2nd and 3rd phase. So after the first month, see if you can handle the extra cardio.

@maeishoj i know you put this on here two weeks ago but i'll answer anyway. I couldn't do more than two when I first started as well. drop to your knees and do some when you feel like you cant do anymore. you'll surprise yourself when you get to phase three at how many you can do.

@MxcnGrngo I'm not a good cook, I just look up recipes and follow the directions. It usually turns out well. I'll usually make a big batch of spaghetti and eat it throughout the week. That or I would make some chili, then eat that.

I would suggest that you start cooking. What I usually do is cook a big batch of food on Sundays, then I have it for the rest of the week and it saves me on time. Nutrition is 80% of getting ripped, in my opinion. So you have to have discipline when it comes to food.

You just have to figure out if you want to be ripped up or not? Is staying ripped up and healthy something you see yourself doing for the rest of your life? If yes, then it'll be no problem to follow 3 months of the program. Just do the workout with a chip on your shoulder... That helped me...
I ate healthy foods, I found a lot of recipes on the net and made sure everything I ate [at the end of the day] fits into my daily numbers for grams of carbs/fat/protein.

Look up healthy recipes on the net. Find the ones that tastes good to you and incorporate them into your nutrition. Make sure you know how much carbs/fat/protein is in your food and add your numbers up by the end of the day. Stay within the daily goals you set up.

Working out daily will slim you down, but it wont get you ripped. Nutrition along with working out will get you the six pack you want. I attribute 80% of my gains to nutrition. Message me your email and I'll email you what I would eat in a typical day.
A lot of people I know just get the videos burned from a friend or something. If you wanna download it... It's pretty much everywhere. Limewire, torrent etc...
Well I didn't download the videos from the net, maybe I should've... haha... But it costs me about 130 for the videos, then I bought some dumb bells, pull up bar, and yoga mat. All together about 200 bucks. If I downloaded, it would've saved me a lot.
My first week was rough. Yeah I did the whole workout everyday. I remember doing plyo, I wasn't able to do keep up. But I tried to do as many reps as possible on each exercises. Just keep at it man... You'll get there in no time.

Yeah, it sounds like a good plan. That's pretty much what I did. I found recipes that I liked and included them in my nutrition. I drank whey protein in warm water right after my workout and took a multivitamin daily as well.
Once you get the hang of it, eating healthy becomes a habit/second nature...

@wsup11 more weight and more strain on the muscles during the workouts (squeeze em real hard). and use the meal plan simply as a guide to eating healthy. eat when you need it, not every two hours; but eat the right things
If you wanna add size, you should go with heavier weights and aim for about 8 reps. Also buy a weighted vest to do all the pull ups and push ups.
As far as nutrition, you should eat more. Eating clean 5-6 times daily will give you a lot of energy for the workouts plus it'll rev up your metabolism.

What to eat? Try going on a Subway sandwich. 1 sandwich for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Might seem silly lol But take a look at what is in your sandwich, its pretty much everything your suppose to be eating.

I'm not an expert and my opinion is just my opinion. But I don't see why it wouldn't work for you if you're a reasonably fit person. Just lift heavy (max at 8 reps) to bulk up, if that's what you're aiming for. The program does a lot of pull ups and push ups, and as you get stronger, you can do a lot more than just 8 reps of these exercises. Solution-buy a weighted vest, or if you wanna save $ wear a backpack with weights in it. Just be sure you got a sturdy pull up bar.

@ZzWildchildzZ Well, I don't eat within the 3 hours prior to going to sleep. So most nights I don't eat past 9pm.
And when you wake up in the morning, just eat man. It'll become a habit after a couple of weeks.

hey its me ... i just need help ... we talked a while a go about p90x and i was doing it for maybe a month and remeber i told u i weight 198 im done to 178 but i havent done p90x for 1 month and i did for a month sraithg before i stoped and im dispointed that i cant get back into it everytime i tell myself im gonna do it i just dont i dont no whats going on do u have some words of incouragement?? plzz help

You just have to figure out if you want to be ripped up or not? Is staying ripped up and healthy something you see yourself doing for the rest of your life? If yes, then it'll be no problem to follow 3 months of the program. Just do the workout with a chip on your shoulder... That helped me...

I ate healthy foods, I found a lot of recipes on the net and made sure everything I ate [at the end of the day] fits into my daily numbers for grams of carbs/fat/protein.

Nice results man, i just started p90x this week tomorrow will be my 5th day, I'm hoping i get good results when did you notice a nice physical change? I'm doing my best on the nutrition side and trying to follow the guidelines any suggestions to what you ate?

Look up healthy recipes on the net. Find the ones that tastes good to you and incorporate them into your nutrition. Make sure you know how much carbs/fat/protein is in your food and add your numbers up by the end of the day. Stay within the daily goals you set up.

I used weights, no bands... and I was 165 to 170 when I started... I'm around 145 right now.
Working out daily will slim you down, but it wont get you ripped. Nutrition along with working out will get you the six pack you want. I attribute 80% of my gains to nutrition. Message me your email and I'll email you what I would eat in a typical day.

Well I didn't download the videos from the net, maybe I should've... haha... But it costs me about 130 for the videos, then I bought some dumb bells, pull up bar, and yoga mat. All together about 200 bucks. If I downloaded, it would've saved me a lot.

My first week was rough. Yeah I did the whole workout everyday. I remember doing plyo, I wasn't able to do keep up. But I tried to do as many reps as possible on each exercises. Just keep at it man... You'll get there in no time.

Amazing. I've watched like 40 p90x-videos on youtube, and this is by far the best one.
Really inspiring and quite cool that you take your time to answer all these comments.
I will begin p90x monday, tomorrow.
My goal is to lose about 4 kg of weight and gain some more in muscles.
My plan is to to eat healthy 5x day (no snacks, soda, etc., but i'm not doing that anyway) drink proteinshake after training, take a multivitamine, lift heavy weights/few reps..
Is this a plan I can stick with?

Yeah, it sounds like a good plan. That's pretty much what I did. I found recipes that I liked and included them in my nutrition. I drank whey protein in warm water right after my workout and took a multivitamin daily as well.
Once you get the hang of it, eating healthy becomes a habit/second nature...

i bought the p90x, buh i feel like i wasted my money because im skinny already.i bought it to gain muscle mass, buh cardio or classic workouts seems like to just lose weight. any tips on using the p90 so i cud get more muscle mass?

@wsup11 more weight and more strain on the muscles during the workouts (squeeze em real hard). and use the meal plan simply as a guide to eating healthy. eat when you need it, not every two hours; but eat the right things

If you wanna add size, you should go with heavier weights and aim for about 8 reps. Also buy a weighted vest to do all the pull ups and push ups.
As far as nutrition, you should eat more. Eating clean 5-6 times daily will give you a lot of energy for the workouts plus it'll rev up your metabolism.

@wsup11 A p90x has more weight lifting then cardio, and classic workouts? p90x got all stuff that i wouldn't call classic. but to gain bulk eat more...work out more...lift heavier weights. and do the program. :D. im doing insanity right now to slim down, day 7 for me, not seeing any results but im feeling them. after i slim down with it im gonna hit p90x for the bulk. im 6ft2 i think id look better wit bulk. lol xD check out my judo vid btw. see if its something u might wanna get into. :))

I would suggest you to pack your own lunch, but if that's not an option then you should try to avoid refined carbs. Just straight eat protein.

What to eat? Try going on a Subway sandwich. 1 sandwich for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Might seem silly lol But take a look at what is in your sandwich, its pretty much everything your suppose to be eating.

I just took protein and a multi-vitamin daily. If you want to add on bulk, you should consume more calories. But don't eat unhealthy foods, eat more healthy calories.

When I first went through the program I ate 1800 calories daily... I now eat around 2000 daily. Message me your email and I'll send you info of what I ate during my first round.

I'm not an expert and my opinion is just my opinion. But I don't see why it wouldn't work for you if you're a reasonably fit person. Just lift heavy (max at 8 reps) to bulk up, if that's what you're aiming for. The program does a lot of pull ups and push ups, and as you get stronger, you can do a lot more than just 8 reps of these exercises. Solution-buy a weighted vest, or if you wanna save $ wear a backpack with weights in it. Just be sure you got a sturdy pull up bar.

@LeBronHappened hey man im 16 and im 135-140 too. i talked to a couple of the other people that have done this and i went on some of the body builder video comment pages too. they all say that people our size have to pack on like protien and calcium and all that stuff if we want to bulk up and tone up. idk im starting this up to so... yeah lol thats what i found out.

just did plyo today...day 2 and it's damn hard...cant keep up with the guys,...was not able to finish the whole video...i need to do better next time...the good thing is, i sweat it out and it raised my heart rate..
