do you have any tips for framing a cross stitch project, I found some different things but they all tell that you can go to a specialist to let it frame for you, I think that's too expensive and we don't have that around here so do you have any tips? :D
@PTuinman Unfortunately I don't...I haven't framed anything personally....and still haven't finished that animal/alphabet one either! Eeek.
Did you look at various magazines?? I suppose it depends on what you want it to look like etc. I wouldn't go to a framer either - why bother spending that extra money when you don't have to?!
@TheArtsyfartsy123 Well I just want it framed so I can hang it up in my room. We don't have that many craft magazines here, so I couldn't find a cross-stitch magazine :(. I looked up a video and there they say that you have to put a photo mat between the stitched piece and the glass of the frame. They say that if you don't do that, it damages your stitching or something like that. But I don't like the look of a mat so what can I do?
in most cases of cross stitch you should always work in the centre and work out the way?folding your aida top to bottom and side to side to find the middle this way your work will be even.....
@buttonchain Yes I realize this - however, I am terrible at keeping track of where I am! (I'm fairly new again to the cross-stitching world) and prefer to work from the outside in. :)
