hey everyone, i've just made a muzzle flash video myself. i want to find out what everyone thinks about it. so it would be greatly appreciated if you could watch it and give some feedback. if you really like it, please subscribe like the video or favorite. Remember, any advise helps!

The M4 can be ordered in any different combination of fire modes. The US army uses semi auto and 3 rd burst. Prior Army myself. Special Forces have semi/full and can even have 3 rd burst/ semi/ and full modes. Just FYI.

great but you are missing 3 things that you need to make a flash effect

1.you dont have recoil

2.cant see a light when you fire

3.no smoke effects

try more beeter like freddiew

1. i do have recoil, but i dont exaggerate it

2. theres no light, ok. But if u watch closely theres a flicker (its the same)

3. ok ok no smoke

this video was made BEFORE freddie made his awesome guns videos

so i had no point of reference on how to do the effect

but with M16 do you have to switch something from single to auto? or you just keep on pressing the trigger?

@TheAerosmither The M16 as the M4 has a switch to select between Safe, Semi and Auto fire. You can be on Auto mode and press one at a time to shoot individual shots.

@OmarExperience i was thinking the m16 has a semi auto which is single and 3 bursts mode..no full auto...i thought the m4 only had the full auto mode without the 3 burst mode....according to wiki..just type m16 and take a look at the article =]

also you can log on Colt website or Walther website cuz they're the manufacturers for the M series.

thats rly gud just 1 thing tha shells shud fly backwards adn try sacle keyframing and scaling the shell as it falls to give the illusion that its comin towards tha camera lens

add a light map that start from the muzzle and looks like a sphere (take a look at Starship Troopers frame by frame).

Also, make each flash unique, a little smaller, slightly different shape, color, blur.

Add shell cartridge sounds hitting the ground and rolling.

hey bro that was REALLY good. Exceptional, all it was missing was the light that the flash would produce in your room. I have the same flash effect but I don't have a gun to put it on :(

the shell its just a black rectangle, you have to animate it within each shot

then add a LOT of blur

One question ....how do you get the shell ejecting effect..... i have been lookin for tutorials on how to get the shell ejecting effect
